Hi. This is my early season Spurs Sum up.
Firstly I would like to say that I wouldn't be surprised if we went the rest of the season unbeaten at home. To us the AT&T centre is a fortress, we are Spurred on by the crowd.
Like every year under Greg we are clinical. The only teams that have beaten us have played the best first halves of their career, yet we stay close as we let in very few easy baskets and get a lot of easy baskets due to a lapse in concentration.
However the big problem with this team is that we dont have the fitness to perform week in week out and THEN still have an impact in the playoffs. This is where Greg has been sensible and has rested the big three in games when we are either too far behind the opposition (see us vs Timberwolves) or too far ahead (see us vs Mavericks). We are an old team and thus have to grind out wins, but have always done that.
RJ needs to get far more playing time as he hasnt impressed, Splitter needs to develop as does Neal. Blair needs game time to develop his shot. Also what the hell happened with James Anderson!??!?!?!?
The characteristic defence is their, and as always we will have a low amount of offensive boards as Greg would rather we defend from the counter. Which is a great way of stopping teams like the Clippers or the Heat who are better athletically than they are technically.
I see a very bright couple of months ahead of us, and believe we will shock everyone by how well we do in the playoffs.
Manu out for two months though

How about them buuuuuuuuuuullllllllllls?
M-V-P is running things, Boozer is playing decent and then there is the beast Noah. Korver with the points of the bench and Deng the silent assasin.
Bulls for the Championship this year.

Bulls are playing some scary stuff atm, Deng is so underrated, such an all round player. Reckon they will play the Heat in the final, cant see you winning though. I think Heat have the experience to topple the bulls, yet I think every team in the league dreads to play you guys

Heat will bottle as usual.
I thought they turned the corner from last year, when they were winning early season. BUT signs of last years complacency and Lebrons tendency to dissapear in the 4th is returning. I can see it being a Bulls vs Heat eastern final but wouldn't surprise me if Celtics, 76ers or Knicks come up against us instead.
Ohh and Bosh is just a useless Giraffe.

Nah I think they have too much quality to be really affected by Le Bron being poor in the 4th. Plus Chalmers has turned out to be a class player!

I actually think that the rookie Norris Cole is better than Chalmers.
But i think if the Heat end up 2nd and Knicks 7th, then i can see the Knicks knocking them out in the first play-off rounds. As long as Carmelo brings his clutch and Amare is healthy and on form.
and is the Bball section pretty dead usually? im guessing most of the people only watch football?

I meant to put Cole there btw
Yeah the BBall section isnt amazing, yet there is a couple of us who post. Me Rev Ramsey and a couple of others pitch in every now and then
