Hills Comments

.Keith Hill quotation " Players are making mistakes "

Keith Hill quotation "I will not criticise Players"

Keith Hill quotation "Clean sheets are king"

Names mentioned Ricardo Vaz Te

Names not mentioned Steve Foster and Jimmy McNulty.

Players is plural yet Vaz Te scores twice and is singled out for losing the ball on the half way line, no mention of the four defenders behind him. Is Hill deliberately wanting him not to sign a new contract, if so he's doing a good job? Hills comments are peeing off supporters who can see which priorities need attending to.

Scott Wiseman was the only defender today who can be satisfied with his performance, the midfield and forwards did their job but the defence have now conceded 20 goals in 8 games. Various combinations from Foster, McNulty and Edwards have been tried and all have failed.

The present midfield and strikers will always score goals but we will always be chasing the game with the present defence. It's time Hill stopped his contradictory comments and spent more time finding a Championship centre-back.

You must have gone to the BIGMAN shop on Wellington Street Sparty. Regardless of Hill's man management skills - I just think it is wrong of him to criticise any of his players publicly on Radio Sheffield. Granted he was asked a direct question about Vaz Te, but he could have bitten his tongue and said he wouldn't mention individual players. If he wants to criticise Vaz Te it should be face to face. I get the impression that he doesn't like players who he thinks are show-offs. Vaz Te obviously loves the adulation of the fans and showed that by his celebration of the first goal - and so what if he is an immature show-off? He is also a gifted and talented goal scorer. I am not saying he should be pandered to - maybe Hill uses carrot and stick methods. I don't know and I am not interested - that's not my job. But it IS out of order to single out players publicly for criticism on the radio. What about Perkin's mistake which led to a Swansea goal? Seems Perky can do little wrong.

Perhaps Vaz Te needs a kick up the aris to keep him on top of his game and Perky's an arm around the shoulder type of player...who knows? I'll leave it to the bloke who works with them, week in...week out...

Find it amusing that posters who just love slagging players off are so offended....

I love how harmonious we are. It's almost moving

As I said Sparty (if you read my posts) I don't care about Hill's methods of managing his players on a day to day basis - I was objecting to his publicly slagging them off in the media.

I've listened again to Hill's interview...available on BBCs football web site...

A public slagging???? Get real!

Just listened to the interview, I don't think what Hill says is unjustified, he highlights how Vaz Te can improve his game.

Derrenniks, i Think perhaps, Vaz Te can be criticised because there is a lot of room for improvement. In terms of potential Vaz Te is probably playing a league below his ability level. Due to his shake career, not making first team appearances, injuries etc, the mental aspect of his game needs work. I don't just mean his approach, but also his positioning when he's off the ball and his decisions when he has the ball.

On the over hand, with Perkins, there is no room for improvement. What you see you get, so there is not much point in criticising.

If they go, they go. We should try to keep both, and I'm sure we will try. But we can't force em. Bigger and better players have left before and we're still in one piece...
