Great Day out!

What a great game today!
Some poor officiating decisions, but generally a great game,
This was nothing like what I expected, stood a yard from the rolly poly victory park pitch was wonderful, today showed just how soft Premier league football has become today, some show of skill and speed but grit and hard challenges going in, forwards busting a gut to get back to defend just can't express how enjoyable watching football was again!

Tickets were £9 and a cup of bovril and steak pie came to £2.50 so not cheap but felt good to support my town, even got a wave from super Matt!

Just something more "honest" about the football, OK so it wasn't the epitome of skill and quality but certainly effort was not lacking! No one was resting and being carried, players were playing for the club not just looking for the next big payday or bench warming slot.

But one thing... jeez thought Ewood could be cold!

Bovril in a little Polystrene cup, Pie in a paper bag, Entire support shifted from one end to the other at half time, suddenly more like what it should all be about!

I went to the game as well. A good day out overall. I wasn't one of the "protesting" fans as i go to see Chorley regularly anyway but good to see Rovers fans come to help our club considering the financial situation it's in.

I would recommend others to come down and see grass-roots football at its best. Makes a change to the monster that's been created by Capitalism-the premier league.

Glad you had a good day out!I really dont know anymore whats happening with our club its sickening.when we try we always let a late goal, near yet so far away. Its nice to get back to the basics and the real world,no prima donnas,no crowd violence or being policed here and there.I might even try Stanley for the away games,I really think its the end.

Yeh i was there yesterday with my lad and it was a great day although i agree my god it was bloody cold, great to see Flitty and Matt though and admission only a fiver each on showing our Rovers season tickets. Drove over late morning had a couple of hours at Euxton Golf Range then went on to the match, i honestly cant remember the last time a match day was as good as that.Venkys out they have killed our club i hate them with a passion and that is a fact

As I said to Vinjay (he ignored me, as was a challenging question) If "your" club is no longer yours, dead, or dying with nothing to do to save it then you can't just pick the next one in the same league, was chatting with 3 of my friends who came (United Season ticket holder and Everton fan) and the general concensus was anything higher than league two was unacceptable switching

As you said Star, fans from loads of different clubs there, no bother, all talking football, no tinted glasses on!

I agree with supporting the local non-league teams, it's easier for me living in Kent as there is only Gillingham as a League team.
I am going along to watch Folkestone Invicta at the weekend, who are 3rd in their league and playing well. i will always support Rovers and go to Ewood and away games when I can. However because of the current owners etc I have no desire to go. This is not fair weather supporting I used to go to all the games when I lived up there, through the old 3rd division to the Premiership. I have never known the atmosphere so bad among fans. I remember being relegated to the old third division and having a party on the old Riverside, no shouting for the owners or manager to get out just genuine fans supporting the club.

Venky's get out of our club!!!

"...admission only a fiver each on showing our Rovers season tickets."

That's highly commendable of Chorley to do that TOOSG.
