AS I HAD STATED IN A

previous article i wrote about Ken Bates raiding chelsea for next manager when he sacks Grayson.

Daily star this morning.....Leeds United will make Chelsea's assistant coach Roberto Di Matteo their top target if they dedide to sack Simon Grayson.

Leeds chief Grayson's job was on the line last monday, when only two late goals against Burnley at Elland Road saved him.

It is understood that he would have gone then if Leeds had lost and he remains under pressure.

Grayson,42,Would be unlikely to lose his job should Leeds lose at Arsenal tomorrow night in the FA Cup.

But more setbacks in the championship would be a different matter, with Leeds chairman Ken Bates aiming for promotion this season.

Di Matteo, who led West Brom to the Premier League, was a player at Chelsea when Bates was in charge of the Stamford Bridge club.

Ex Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is also being mentioned as a potential candidate if Grayson gets the bullet.

Di Canio is doing a good job at Swindon, he won't stay there long.

what is it with some of you, an Italian an Romanian in charge of leeds it does'nt matter who bates brings in if grayson is sacked they will only have the same funds ( if any ) to play with and have to do the same as grayson loanees and freebies so nothing would change under them two

Grayson while in league 1 had a bigger budget than te average championship club, that's a fact

He signs freebies and loanees, its the way he manages,

Apart from a few clubs in the champ, he's got a bigger budget than the rest

Di Cannio & KWB in the same room

LIW, fair enough but I honestly think if simon is dismissed the new manager will not have a lot to spend because bates says that leeds will not go into dept and will not spend just for the sake of it

We all agree if only we'd spend a decent % of turnover on the squad, say 55-60%, this would make a big difference. It would mean £17/18m being spent which I would expect as a reasonable investment by Mr Bates.

Surley RDM will be on a seven figure salary at Chelsea and compo would have to be paid.

The Daily Star?

You are actually using the Daily Star as a credible source of news?

Honestly I really do wonder sometimes....
