A bit suprised by this one TBH - they are doing ok, not uprooting any trees..plodding along ok
I wonder where he will turn up next - no doubt somewhere where he will no doubt have the opportunity to have a good whinge about life in general etc

Colin leaves QPR

He'll hang up his jogging bottoms and retire to his tractor I would have thought.
Say what you like about Col, but he does bring a certain cheap man's je ne sais quoi to football. There's that many boring formulaic managers, at least he told it how it was and wore his heart on his sleeve. Hate to say it but if he had come from the blue side, i think i'd love the guy.

and leeds could do a lot worse.
Warnock, in my opinion, would get them up first go.

I'll make a note of it Kimmy! .
Good old Colin (the piggy b) the managerial equivalent of Joey Barton. He must've completely lost the QPR dressing room.

Master Bates & Colin Wonker. Perfect fit for Leeds.

Prof: I agree. I think Colin is held in higher esteem in S6 than at the Lane. He does seem to have a magical gift for turning clubs around and yet never seems to be appreciated by his employers. Notice that he said he'd enjoyed his time at QPR more than anywhere else - an indictment of his time with his beloved Blades. I'm guessing that he wasn't happy because even while he was getting them into the Premiership there were fans wanting him out. Owls fans, in general, are a lot more supportive of their managers: even Laws and Irvine had an easier ride with us than Warnock had with the Blades. And Blackhall took them to 3rd and a play-off final and they still wanted him out too. They've recently won 8 in a row but I haven't heard any of their fans giving Danny Wilson any credit.
I hope Colin doesn't go to Leeds - he might get them up before we get to join them.

Hughes: "I'm an ambitious manager and hopefully the next club I'm at can match those ambitions."
In other words, "If they don't give me any money to spend, I'm not going."
