De Gea or Lindegaard?

Is Lindegaard really that much better than De Gea at this moment in time? Personally I don't think he is, he has looked rather shaky in his last 2 games the only area I think he is better at, at the moment is dealing with corners and crosses coming in from the wings, but only just..

De Gea needs games to gain the experience required to be a world class keeper, you can't spend 18 million on a keeper and leave him on the bench. Lindegaard was bought in purely to be the number 2. Furthermore, De Gea should have played today to get that experience of playing in the biggest games as it can build the confidence. Laving him on the bench will stunt his progress and dent his confidence. Fergie needs to stop chopping and changing players, consistency wins you trophies

It was Lindegaard's first real big test today and he folded. Dodgy kicking, flapped at more crosses than De Gea has all season and really should have caught Aguero's first shot for their 2nd. It was basic stuff. I also think his positioning could have been better for Kolarov's free kick. Everyone knew where it was going. But maybe I'm being harsh.

That said, I rate both our goalkeepers and what people have to remember is that they're both still learning. People want them to fail, it's just the way it is. But De Gea will turn out class, I have no doubts. He should be our No.1.

If de gea made that mistake lindegaard did today he'd be getting absolutely slated

i wrote about this in my article 'De Gea haters' after the blackburn game and still people faulted De Gea. Lets see them try to defend Lindegaard now.

De Gea is a better shot stopper than Lindegaard and would have saved Aguero's shot. Lindegaard deals with corners better. That's expected as he's a lot older.

We'll see

I keep saying this, De Gea was bought to be our number one so let him play uninterrupted.

He wont build experience by playing in the odd cup match...

At worst De Gea is as good as Lindegaard, and he's 7 years younger.

Agree with all the points made. I think lindegaard let goals in and ppl say, well that's not his fault, but if de gea let's em in it's another story

I've said all along that Lindegaard isn't very experienced at top level, De Gea has played at higher level for longer.

Not saying Lindegaard isn't good because he is good, but I think Fergie needs to stop tinkering with the keepers as both look rusty now.
