Rangers at Ibrox

Given this tie will be played after the January transfer window Dundee Utd could be favourites

Have to play them at some point I suppose, we have a fairly reasonable record against Rangers in cup competitions over the past few years, much better than our record against Celtic that's for sure! Would still rather be playing Dundee though....

Utd have a chance - McCurry has retired.

Hopefully we'll take a support similar to the one at Motherwell last season. Obviously hoping for a better result though.

Rangers are a team on the slide and after the transfer window could be considerably further weakened.Nothing to fear that I can see.

Agreed about the window repercussions on the Rangers team. Beyond that you'd think that if they lose their best players and Celtic pull away in the league (which they will) then morale at Ibrox could be rock bottom.

Although on the flip side the Scottish might be the only competition they might win.

I wouldn't say I was happy with the draw, but at the same time Ibrox holds no fear and if we have a go at them then we might well give them the doing they absolutely deserve!

Am i right in thinking rangers have been pumped out of every cup at the 1st hurdle so far this season?? No reason why this cup should be any differant. If you want to be a cup winning team you will probably have to beat one of the uglies at some point. This tie will probably have rangers sweating a little. 2-2 at ibrox then 2-0 united at tannadice, daly and an o.g. fae the sandman Perfecto.

My biggest concern will be poor that refereeing (thats not in our favour) decides the tie. Hope i'm wrong though.
