So, after reading comments on various threads and articles across various boards, and listening to various phone ins, the Leicester fans aren't happy with Beckford.
Indeed, according to a Forest supporting friend who sat behind the dugout at the FA cup match, neither is Pearson, who spent most of the game screaming at him to track back, get in a different position, etc etc.
Now, I'm a big fan of Beckford. I still am. The guy is on the lowest of morale at the moment. He sees guys like Gally and Dyer miss absolute sitters of chances, and get their names cheers, and he misses a half chance, and gets booed. He's constantly being asked to do a job that isn't him. He's being asked to play left wing, which he's not, track back, which isn't in his nature and shouldn't be, and win headers, which he never will. Plus, after nearly 5 months of being here, he's still not completed 90 minutes for us.
Yes I know he's lazy, and doesn't win headers, but that's not his game. His game is to play on the shoulder of the last man, get the ball in behind, and score. As he did with his 2nd goal for us.
My point is this - is Beckford really that bad? Is he lacking confidence? Does he want to be here?
The facts are this:
He's a goalscorer. You just need to look at his history.
He's underperformed for us.
The fans don't support him, but get on his back.
He was shunted here because Everton needed the money
He's not been given 5 x 90 minutes in a row.
So what are people's thoughts and opinions? Should we keep him? Should we sell him? Is he a good player just not right for us? Is he just rubbish?

Keepthefaith, If you say so mate.
Cantables also wrote that Beckford is constantly being asked to do a job which isnt his, play left wing etc.
Do left wingers get asked to chase back and defend then coz if they do then Beckford must get told do do so as well.
Just as a matter of interest, i do know a bit about playing as a striker.

Do wingers get asked to track back (I'm not sure if this is your question or not?) - Yes, everyone in the team has to track their markers when on the defensive or you'd continuously be over-run. Slightly different for an out and out striker, for the reasons I mentioned above.
Sorry, I'm not sure if this answered your question or not.
To be fair, I know Cantlebabes said left wing, but he has literally not played this position once for us. He has however, played on either side as part of 3 pronged attack intermittently.
