Samir Nasri

The

left Arsenal to chase trophies and increased wages. He will deny that he went for the money. This leaves his main reason for leaving was to win things.

Champions League??? Nope.
F.a Cup??? Nope.
Carling Cup?? VERY unlikely so I'll say Nope.
Premier League?? Going on the above eliminations I would say Nope.
UEFA Cup?? Who honestly cares. Nope, they won't win it as they'll be going for the league at the business end of both comps.

Have City inherited too many Arsenal players now and the implosion and bottler characteristics shown over the last 5 years by us has rubbed off on them??

I hope so.

P.S. Did anyone see Nasri in the crowd the other night vs Leeds?? Secretly wishing he never left I bet!!! Did he not see that all ex Gunners players get the curse!!! Apart from Cesc but he had Barca DNA.

A porsche yes (like a GT3 or a carrera S) but not a panamera!
It is like saying you want an Aston martin and then buy the Cygnet:

While Nasri may not be having the best of times (at the moment) at City, with their resources it is likely that they will be the dominate club in England for the foreseeable future.

And to be honest, he doesn’t play for us anymore so time to move on.

What however is a concern is the clubs lack of ambition. I feel that even if we strengthen this month (which again is debatable) it is touch an go whether we qualify for the CL. We desperately need to qualify this season to ensure RvP stays at the club – amongst others.

Testing times ahead methinks…

While I thought Nasri was one of our best players when he was with us I know think he is pretty mediocre. he can not penetrate defence like Gervinho can, although he does have a better eye for goal. In summary I don't like the little sheet and I think we did well getting the £ for him and spending a lot less on Gervinho.

Chamakh

Agree to an extent but as usual – will the money be re-invested in the squad?

Making a profit each season doesn’t score goals or keep clean sheets.

I think Wenger must know we need a natural goalscorer and I am confident he will do something about it. He also knows we need to snap up another full back right now, and I can only be hopefull that he will address this before the window shuts.

Apparently we have bid for abidal, so that should ease the full back issue
