I read an article in the Derby Telegraph by Macca saying that no one should question his commitment. Well i would say we are not disputing that, but a lot of fans feel his present ability is in question,as i've already written,no matter how he tries the old form just doesn't seem to be there.Whether thats lack of form or that his legs have gone truth is he has not been the same player he once was throughout all of last season and this too. Whilst his outburst towards the "popside" may have been due to a bad comment, taking out his frustration in the way he did as captain let himself and the club down. It certainly will not have helped his case.
I don't buy the Telegraph or the always a day behind Burton Mail but have not seen the article in the Burton Mail. Perhaps someone correct me on that one.
I wonder if Macca has been reading this website ?
My attitude is that us supporters who give up time and pay good money to watch are entitled to air our views, you take the good and the bad as a player and get on with it,thats football.

Spot on terracemen.
I too have critisized Magrath.
As you said his commitment isn't in doubt.
Its his inability to dominate the midfield area as he used too and my belief now is that hes not up to the task anymore.
The skill level in this league has got better and unfortunately for us Magrath lacks the ability to control the midfield area.
Add to this his total lack of attacking awareness and ability to break down defences just sums up what most of us think.
He now plays far too many square or backward passes.
He probably would hold his own still in the conference but as with one or two of our old conference squad he is being found out.
Maybe Magrath & Mr twitter Webster should come and stand on the popside when there not playing and witness what we see.
I might one day sit in the stand because thats the side were the manager stands and it always seems a better game from that side of the pitch.

Maca has been a great servant to us Terrace and i have admired him in the past.I think his legs wont do what his head is telling him and he is getting frustrated. As has been stated on previous threads that doesnt give him the right to have a slanging match with a moron in the crowd as much as it annoys him,its just not on from a footballer at any level never mind a league player. He will do a good job in the conference and i wish him well because i dont think he will be offered a contract at the end of the season.

I think McGrath has a much higher opinion of himself than we do to be honest. He seems to forget he is a distinctly average, jobbing footballer, clinging on to a professional career. I'd also add Webster to that category.
