I am disappointed we are only asking for 2 million for Goody. Rangers would be right muppets if they just said yes straight away and didn't try and negotiate it down any way they can.
Time for ST to stand up and be counted as a United man. I have never been convinced. I think he has been looking to get out since he first took over, and is much more concerned with his media image and fame than the club. This is when we will find out.
He HAS to stand his ground with the Bigots, and not accept 1 penny less. Very much like Naismith a few years back. Killy got what they wanted for the best young striker in Scotland. Also, i belive we should up the price to 2.5 million if no deal has been done the week before the transfer window closes.
Fact is there are plenty of teams interested in DG. We have seen with Conway that Rangers aren't even able to compete financially with Championship teams anymore, and that means that it is very unlikely the Biggot offer will be the best one.
I for one would be quite happy to keep him until Christmas and see where we are at then.
Too Much?? Bye bye

Mr Irvine,
If celtic wanted him, they could get him,as we would offer Dundee utd more money and offer the player more money.

Charlie - I think we could do a lot worse, maybe not exactly the type of player we need but I'm sure he would be worth £4-5m after one season if he played regularly.

That's the point Irvine, the boy will be worth at least double in a few years, he's only 22. Rangers are trying to get him on the cheap, but I get the feeling that ST is not for rolling over. How cheeky is whyte? He says his top players are not for sale as they are too valuable, then tries to take the best youing player in the country on a knock down price. Are Rangers actually going to have any money to spend?

To be honest I was surprised to find that it would only take £2m to get him. Celtic are in the market for a more physical player to compliment Hooper but I can't help thinking that Goodwillie will become a top player wherever he goes (provided he's not guilty of the charges that are pending)

He is worth more than that, however I doubt we will get it. The only way this will happen is if other clubs show a concrete interest. Rangers think they can get him on the cheap as they are the only bidder. A EPL and Championship club are looking too and I hope one of them meets the price and he goes down there. Rangers will have missed a great opportunity because they wouldn't pay the minimal fee required.
Regarding the charges this seems to have been dragging on for a very long time.

Irvine, surely the celtic sqaud is big enough? The last thing goodwillie or scotland needs is for him to be benched for 2 years.

Benched for 2 years? He's the best striker in Scotland, the Celtic manager would have to be a total idiot to...
Ah. Never mind.

Hobo, look what happened to flood and riordon to name a couple when they went to celtic, and are trying to tell me lemmon isnt a complete idiot, look at the sqaud they had last year and they still couldnt win the league!!

I was saying that Lennon is an idiot!
I meant only an idiot would leave Goodwillie on the bench, and that's exactly what Lennon would do. Of course he wouldn't even do that, as he'll end up spending triple the cost of Goodwillie on a Championship player that isn't even 1/3 as good.
