When I woke up this morning, I noticed that there where 1 or 2 combined 11 articles which always croup up from time to time. So I started thinking about who where the world class players around at the time I first got into football during the mid 80's.
Here's my World Class 11
1. Peter Silton
2.Paolo Maldini
3.Franco Baresi
4.Alan Hanson
5.Paul Mcgrath
6.Lothar Mattaus
7.Bryan Robson
8.Diego Maradona
9.Michael Laudrup
10.Zico
11.Paulo Rossi
So there's mine so what was your world class 11 during your informative years.

Yep, Maradona is arguably the best of all time. He was just unbelievable.

Plus The Sergio I would of had Ramario in your team or was he just before your time growing up.

Maradona was good, but I think Cantona was better. Too bad he fell out with the French FA

Yeah, he was a bit before.

Manyoo Mancees as much as I love Cantona and how important he was to Man Utd and their rise he no where near the level of Maradona so stop making stupid comments please. If you've got nothing sensible to add don't add anything at all.

Cantona wasn't as good as Maradona.
In a room full of the greatest ever players, all at their peaks, the three would would be commanding the most attention are Diego Maradona, George Best and Pelé.
They are the only 3 players to have reached their level.

From when I first started really watching football (didn't really get into it till I was ten, and the first game I really sat through was the one where Seaman got lobbed by Nayim) -
Schmeichel
Neville
Nadal
Maldini
Le Saux
Rui Costa
Gascoigne
Del Piero
Luis Enrique
Bergkamp
Cantona

The only reason I didn't include Pelé in my 11 is to try to include as many (semi) modern players as I could. Honestly, I think I'd take Ronaldo and Keane put for Pelé and Duncan Edwards if push came to shove

Did you ever see Cantona play? He was world class.
In 1996, he was clearly the best player in the world
