Will the Mittals pursue their interest?

Just a little poll to gauge opinions out there in QPR world.

What we know officially is that the Mittals still hold 'around' 33% of the shares in the holding company and since Bhatia's resignation and Ishan Saksena's departure as announced on 25th May, the family has stated that it will put forward a representative to sit on the board to monitor their investment.

A takeover proposal was also apparently put forward by them shortly afterwards and summarily rejected by Briatore & Ecclestone, following which there has been relative silence on board issues in the media from all concerned.

Perhaps this is a tactic on the part of the Mittals, to sit & observe negative press for the current board, the lack of new signings and apparently weaker than expected season ticket sales and thereby to increase the pressure on the Formula 1 specialists to lower their asking price.

Perhaps the family's rumoured interest in Millwall as part of an East London sports zone development is similarly motivated.

Maybe, just maybe, they are losing interest and patience with events at Loftus Road and have already 'moved on', with Ahmit Bhatia's obviously genuine passion for the game now being directed at another postcode.

Do you expect to hear of another bid for QPR from the Mittals?

Yes/No please (and your comments of course !)

My article is original True R. Pity u couldn't tell the difference !

With silly remarks like these two so far it's no wonder that the QPR page of JA606 is struggling to get and retain posters.

I was a big fan of bbc606 and really pleased that something so similar finally got up and running elsewhere and was looking forward to some intelligent debate and friendly banter with fellow bbc veterans.

Still waiting.

tip; rather than make reference in the third person to a poster whose sincerity you doubt, maybe you should challenge them directly ?

Don't lose heart Shepherd's-mush
I know it's frustrating when you post a well thought out article and then have to wait forever for comments, especially when those comments are not what you're looking for.
As you alluded to on your second comment this site is on the floor and I don't think it will change before the new season starts. Without critical mass it's hard to generate any kind of debate so double whammy no new posters and disaffected existing ones.
Anyway, to get back to your article, I do think that a deal will be done, but will it be too late to save QPR's season?
I'm very much an optimist and I think we'll still be there this time next year but we'll have a he'll of a struggle.

Thanks for restoring some faith Grinning-Cur.

I think your remarks on current posting activity and the reasons behind them are pretty near the mark.

I have been trying to direct people to JA606 through other media where I can (within my limited internet profile!) with a focus on QPR and I do sometimes wonder why (cup half empty today).

Fingers crossed for some transfer activity soon (incomings of course and preferably not all geriatric Italians) to perk us all up.

Mush, I also saw the article on another site a day or so before yours, not a wind-up just stating a fact!

Excuse my ignorance, but what is dbi?
The subject of the article is pertinent to QPR and is in the public domain. Yes we have all seen threads and posts on other sites on this topic and this is our one. If this one is not original then neither are the others.
Here's another familiar theme; Mittals good guys, Eccles and Flabio bad guys, or are they?
