SUTTON - AN APOLOGY

Sutton, sorry to say it but you are correct in your assessment of SC and I think it's time he went, ideally resigned, so that someone with fight and drive can grab the team by the scruff of the neck and sort this shambles out.

The players still have to look at themselves but it's clear to see they don't want to play for SC.

Warnock maybe? I'd take him everyday of the week.

The players care as much now, as they did under the last manager. Those that were here when Colin was manager cared as much then as they so now.

It's not about caring or a lack off effort.

Players play well for good managers, badly for bad ones. Its as simple as that

I don't believe for a second that it's simply down to the manager. Billy was great for us. The best thing that has happened to us in a long time, and everything since has been an absolute nightmare. The only time I felt positive about what was happening was when Wesley Verhoek had apparently signed. I don't believe that the quality of Southampton's squad is vastly superior to ours, however, they were a lot better organised, more disciplined and wanted the three points more than we did. There are many reasons that I believe we are failing. The players we brought, haven't been anywhere near as effective on or off the pitch as the players we lost. Kelvin Wilson was never replaced and Mclaren's decision to appoint Chambers as captain was an uneducated attempt at trying to please the supporters. What a disaster that has been. I've never seen a player do more damage to his own team and we've somehow managed to really p@ss off Lee Camp in the process too. Good work there. Our biggest achievement this year may well be having the same left back in February that we started December with. Thank god for that.

Then there's the ownership fiasco. I actually have a lot of sympathy with Doughty. I mean, it must be tough having so much money you don't know what to do with it. It's not what Doughty does that bothers me, so much as the way that he does it. By all all means give your manager £12m to spend on new players, just not David Platt. By all means fall on your sword after making the worst managerial appointment since Diego Maradona at Argentina, but don't do it leaving the club without a pot to p@ss in because you never got your house in order. I may stop liking football, it's not healthy and it's not clever.

I don't beileve they're that much better than. If the players aren't organised or motivated that's clueless Coterills fault.

Sutton has taken an unreasonable amount of flak for voicing a sound opinion.

Wasn't in the mood for smug smileys earlier on. Your constructive input is welcome now though, Marco.

Play nice.

I said after McClaren resigned that the rest of the season would tell us how good Billy was. Did he get the best out of an average squad or did McClaren fail to get the best out of a good squad. I think that has been answered since SC took charge. We would not be in the bottom three if Billy was still here, I think only one player this season has actually improved (and if votes were taken now he'd probably be player of the season) and that's Lynch, everyone else has got worse (not counting Mollony who has played very few games before this season)

Camp's dad is not too happy id say.

Never mind he will always get plenty of practise with Northern Ireland.
