What did you do when you got home ?

What did you do when you got home after today's match.

Kick the dog.

Kick the cat.

Ask John Gee's sons where they go on a Saturday afternoon so you can join them.

Hit the bottle.

I got home and entered my zen zone of calm, tranquility and rational thought. I meditated to slow my breathing and get my blood pressure down and cleared my brain of all negativity. I then took the next half-hour to carefully and constructively appraise the pros and cons of our performance, as weighed against the strength of the opposition, the tactical constraints imposed upon the manager, the loss of players to injury, illness, suspension, national duty, ill discipline and alleged poor attitude, the balance of yin and yang in our squad and the position of the various constellations. I carefully inspected the Championship table and reasoned that, although 15th place looks bad, we're still only 5 points off the play-offs and have a better goal difference than those around us.

I then systematically joined together all of my various reasonings on the current state of our club and concluded that we are, in fact, utterly crap. Then I cracked open the whiskey.

Very good this is madness - made me laugh (which was needed to stop me crying!)

I kicked the bottle and slapped the cat, for which I have retaliatory scratch marks.

snapski - You must be thanking your lucky stars you were playing us today. Barnsley were terrible. Fortunately for you, we were worse.

That`s exactly what Leeds fans were saying after we beat them (twice).

I suppose if it helps you get over your disappointment.......

I usually favour sour grapes (smokey bacon flavour)

Hit the bottle - but 1 positive from that, even yesterdays performance was not as painful as todays hangover
