Swans showing Liverpool the way

This is what we are missing. And how much did it cost to put this attacking tour de force together thats beaten Arsenal 3-2?

I'm mightily impressed with Brendan Rodgers attacking style and he has all the hallmarks of a top class manager in the making.

They pass and move and attack teams at home at pace. What a great pass from Allen for the second goal!

Good luck to the Swans, I doff my cap to you all.

So, would you prefer a 1 - 0 win or a 3 - 2 win.

Got Better

The thing is when Liverpool were at their best Shankly and Paisley had our players playing with no fear. We were at visiting teams from the first minute to the last. That's the difference.

but that being the case why select five defenders against a team that wants to park the bus?

Aggers, it was a formation that we played against Stoke last season and we got a 2-0 win. We obviously thought it would work again.

Last time we played Kyrgiakos. Skrtel and Agger at the back, Kelly and Johnson and wingbacks. Lucas and Aurelio sat back and Gerrard and Meireles supported Kuyt.

Similar formation but different personnel. I think Kenny shouldn't have taken off Dwoning yesterday, perhaps played Gerrard higher up and bought Bellamy on a little earlier.

I was surprised Kenny took off Downing for Carroll surely when Carroll comes on Downing should be there to give him some service.

Clearly though something needs to change becuase as you rightly say teams come to Anfield and sit back and that is where we miss Suarez most, we need a couple more like him.

Me too Aggers. Downing was having an ok game yesterday. He should have taken off Henderson for Carroll.

Suarez will be back soon. I'm looking forward to seeing him and Gerrard together. They'll be on the same wavelength.

Swansea have been playing like this for about 5 years.

Rodgers had added the cutting edge, but they were playing great football long before he became manager.

Their whole philosophy is superb and they have done it on a small budget.

With his Chelsea links, I would bet good money on Rodgers being the next Chelsea manager, maybe fairly soon if AVB doesn't manage top 4 and/or start next season well.

Aggers Right Elbow And His Flat Back Nine (
===============
The thing with Shankly........it took him 7yrs before Liverpool won ANYTHING!!! In todays fickle fan world, i am convinced he wouldnt have lasted and Liverpool would be 18 titles and 5 european cups poorer.........giving people a chance is key!!!

I'm all for letting Kenny keep the job as long as he wants.

The good news is our defence has been sorted it's just a question of building on that.

Swansea's midfielders including the wide players defend when they haven't got the ball much better than I have seen our midfielders.

KPMG

Agreed on that, they were breaking up Arsenals moves before they got started.
