12 million reasons to say aye

Saw that on another forum earlier today, figured it's nonsense. Everything i've seen is saying that Whyte is committed to tying McGregor, Davis and Whittiker into new contracts.

If there is any truth to it though I can't see us knocking it back!

12 Million is about right in the current climate for transfers in EPL I would say, although it probably is just paper "sheggite" as you so plainly put it.

No way we should be accepting less than 10 Million for Mcgregor, lets be honest nobody thought Hearts would get anywhere near what they got for Gordon. This was acheived by the resilience they showed in resisting half decent offers and holding out to maximise the profitabilty of their asset.

McGregor should be veiwed as a major asset and that is it. If we ever get that kind of money offered we should snap it up!

Whyte has made a pledge to invest anything gained through transfers back into the team. We could fund a couple of standout transfers for that kind of money

im in agreement that if we got over 10 for hom we would need to take it. Alexander is a fine replacement. And the money could be used to bring in another douple of really good young players with the thought to improving themand selling them on for a profit lile ajax and eindhoven do

Im delighted we're going after the best young Scottish players.

Wallace and Goodwillie would be great additions to the squad.Im glad we never got conway though.Wylde is a much better prospect IMO

spot on jobby signing conway would prob have seen wylde heading out on loan or down to the championship, that said it didnt do mcgregor any harm when he was farmed out to the pars a few years back.

Mcgregor was at us for half a season. Im sure he either set, or came close to setting the number of clean sheets in a row record for us. It was in the first division right enough. Can't remember if he went straight to no1 for yous or went to the pars first.

Unlikely, but if it's offered bite the hand.

McGregor is quality but for that kind of dough we could get 3 or 4 SPL standouts and walk the title with Alexander in goals.
