I know that he has his faults and is far far from perfect but he has done a good job. He has won promotion, got us 7th in first year, draws againest spurs and arsenal,a win againest manchester united.
Alot of his flops he signed looked good players on paper and we all thought would do well i.e mcsheffery, vokes, mccartney and obrien. People was going mental to sign obrien after his fantastic loan spell.
He has given white, lees, thompson and more youngsters chances at leeds, gave howson the captains armband. Made some quite a few excellent signings imo lonergan, gradel, somma, townsend, mccormack, clayton etc
Lets just see how the rest of the season goes,we owe him that,we might have a good end to the transfer window who knows.
If he does get sacked what makes you guys think he will be replaced with better?
Simon Grayson deserves more time

Sorry LIW but you're wrong there
-----------------------------------------------------
There a big difference doing what your boss says even though you dont believe in it, too saying things in public which are not true and actually look bad on the job your trying to do.
The other thing to remember is that if Grayson was to say i'm not getting backed by the Chairman

He doesnt have to say anything,

If Grayson really cared about Leeds as much as people seem to think, he'd admit he wasn't up to the job and resign.
Simon Grayson cares about Simon Grayson.
And, yes, Grayson does have a family to support: the one he walked out on.
I don't think Grayson well ever get another job above League 1 level, that's why he's so desperate to keep this job. I think he name is mud because of the way he treats players.
And why do so many people keep saying Grayson hasn't been backed?
Bates allowed him to bring Darren O'Dea in when he could have turned around and told him he was useless and he already two centre halves worth half a million.
Bates has backed him far too much!
And what has spending money in the transfer market got to do with getting your tactics and team selections right?
I keep bringing that up and people keep ignoring it, I'd love for some of you to stop ducking that issue.

Exactly LIW.He does not have to say anything,it's simple.Say no comment,I can't say at this particular time,or pass. And no boss can order or direct you to tell lies,or mislead people diliberately. They usually tell you to say nothing,as regards to the business. The truth is Grayson, must have had backing,he says so himself. It's people wanting to put the entire blame on Bates, and keep Grayson looking like he's the great manager we all would have liked him to have been. But I judge him on the football his teams have been dishing up over the last two seasons, and to be honest it is nowhere near good enough.

If you advocate not saying anything, that includes 'no comment' as this is usually tantamount to an admission. Same goes in USA about 5th amendment.
The problem is when you have been told 'Simon, go and see who you want to have in the team, it's ok we have transfer money'. And then at a press conference you are asked if the chairman has said there is money, what are you gonna say? No comment and everyone thinks no and gets on the clubs back. Of course you are going to say 'the chairman has said there is money available'.
So off you go, see Tommy Grigg is available from Shinfield Utd, have a chat with him, he wants to join as Leeds are a big club, and then what happens?
Young Tommy and his agent start negotiating with Bates, tells them he would like £500 pw. Bates tells him to think again as he is on next to nothing now why should he get 500. Next we know young Tommy is playing for Soton, being payed £10k or and is the best prospect in English football for years.
So the fans have a go at? Yes the manager, and the chairman comes out with, 'we nearly had Grigg but he let us down'...... go figure.

There is no more excuses left, for Bates and Grayson.Nobody is going to believe what either of them say.As a lot of posters on this forum have said,( we have heard it all before). They are both losing credibility. And a no comment was a little bit tounge in cheek type of answer.I am sure that both of them could find something to say that that would sound better than the rubbish they come out with.A simple answer to a Question is,"I don't discuss the clubs or players personal business".Nobody can make you say any more, because it has already been pointed out,you can't discuss your employers business,or individuals business.Niether Bates or Grayson do themselves any credit in public. It's begining to look like both of them are not to be trusted.
