So, Keanes first of his 6 games involves 10 minutes on the pitch, after that he comes out and states that he definitely wont be staying any longer than he initially ageed to. Well, I cant blame the lad, but still question why is a cash strapped club wasting money on players it doesnt need?
Then I read that 'Villa could test Liverpools resolve and go for Carroll' - with Bent going the other way! These two playrers are miles apart, Bent scores goals, Carroll doesnt - Im sure it's lazy journalism, but with Villas current condition, anything is possible.

The paper (can't remember which) pushing this claimed that McLeish had actually contacted Dalgleish to discuss it. Makes no sense (so it may be true!). As you say, Bent, in spite of mixed performances, is still scoring goals, Carroll is a waste of space. But maybe Carroll is more in the McLeish tradition; all huff and puff and no end product.

Just watching on the news about the cruise liner capsized off the Italian coast!
It reminds me a little of the good ship villa, listing it's way through the season under the careful watch of skipper McJudas!
