Gio Dos Santos

Hey spurs fans just a quick question on Dos santos.

We have been linked with a 4mill move for the lad today, not sure it's the first time we have been linked with him in recent years but just wanted to know what you guys think of him?

Would £4mill be a steal or a waste of money?

Cheers

£7 million will probably secure the deal to be honest, and we must be looking into a replacement, we are light as it is with attacking options

Gio just needs to be shown some support, you can count on one hand the amount of starts he has had in the PL for us

We won't offer 7 million I assure you, don't think we have ever spent over 1million in January before so I can't see that changing now.

He sounds very much like petrov (attitude wise) terrible at tracking back.

Is he a striker or an attacking mid player?

Aaron - Im sure your board will be eager to spend the Cahill money, maybe nearer the £6 million figure could do it

Gio can play pretty much anywhere up top, he plays in a 3 for Mexico, usually down the middle or on the right hand side...but Harry HAS used him as a winger which never works

We are spending 2-5mill on a an american defender so it would only leave us with 4.5 to spend and it looks like we will be offering 4 of that to spurs for Gio.

Shame if we can't get him because we are crying out for some pace and flair in the team at the moment.

Aaron - A loan deal with a view to a permanent move might be possible if we cant find an outright buyer

Would love for Gio to come good, just a shame it will be with someone else!

I thought Harry said we'd had a sizeable bid last summer from Italy for him but it didn't happen because Gio had his heart set on a return to Spain.

With all due respect to Bolton, if he turns down Italy I can't see the climate suiting him up there

Thats true, but it also didnt happen because we wanted him to go to Italy as they were offering more money! Plus we couldnt find a replacement in time...

If were going for a player of yours on loan how about Roman Pav and Gio for 4mill?

I will even pick them both up and drive them down to save you on expenses. .....I can't drive but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Aaron - !

You can kindly take Bassong of our hands if you so fancy...

As long as he isn't a right back then we will take him....we have enough right backs on the books to keep us going for the next 10 years.
