I see that the Doncaster Star are reporting that Wolves are now lining up a 2.5 million bid for Sharp. It's starting to look to me like one way or another he's going to be gone by the start of next season. Does anyone think we'll be able to keep him, and if not, who would be the ideal replacement(s) if we had the budget from his sale to use?

My email came in seconds of registering. If Wolves go down and their manager is sacked I reckon SoD will go there and take Sharpe with him.

I dunno. I'm going to wait for some kind of confirmation from the club before I believe anything. You'd think if £2.3m wasn't enough, an extra £200k wouldn't swing it.

Wolves regularly play only one out and out forward. Billy Sharp is good enough for the Prem but I don't think he will sign for a club who are likely to keep him on the bench. I also agree that the directors here are unlikely to accept anything under £3m.

Well Wolves are not going down so they can certaily afford him and tempt him with Premiership football but I think he would be a bit part player. Ebanks Blake had a sensational year in the championship a couple of years ago but struggles in the Prem, Vokes is always loaned out, Fletcher and Doyle would be in front of all of them.
