Firstly, I hope that what happened in 2010 is put behind us, those who had done wrong are now rightly out of the game. Hopefully, both teams can talk the talk on the field. And, please, no more controversies, surely now there isn’t anything else left to happen?
England will rightly go in as favourites, with dangerous players all around the park for them, they will be looking to start off the series with a win. The likes of Cook and Trott at the top of the order, Bell in the middle, Prior as W/K, Jimmy Anderson taking the new ball and Swann as their frontline spinner. They have a very good team, but it’s a case of how they balance it out and will they do it correctly?
On the other side of the coin, Pakistan will be looking to continue the success of 2011. No matter whom they came up against, no matter how weak the opposition, they performed after the complete disaster of 2010. You can expect the same sort of team that played in UAE last time round, Pakistan are used to these conditions and will be looking to exploit the slight advantage they have over England as quick as possible.
This should be a good series, I believe in these conditions both teams are good enough to post big scores, aswell as rattle each other out with low scores. Both have more than capable bowling attacks. A lot has been said about these “Lifeless" pitches, I for one think these Cricketers are more than good enough to make a very good game out of these pitches, quite a lot of people are making out as if it’s going to be the hardest thing in the world just to get someone out. Apart from that the battle of Gul, Anderson v Top order or Swann, Ajmal v Middle order, plus each other, will, and should be fascinating to watch. Let’s hope for a good’un.
Two Teams Vying To Prove A Point

afridi14 wasnt a WUM, the problem as I have mentioned so many times with neon is he cannot differentiate between WUMing and criticism. If a team puts a pathetic show and keeps on doing that it will get some stick, specially if that team was ranked one just a few months back. You have got to take the criticism, the least you can do is to ignore it if you cannot counter it with logics, but to respond by running after moderators and getting people banned is stupidity.

being a pakistani fan obviously I want my team to win, but being a cricket fan I want the matches to yield results, somehow I am more concerned to that. Not many matches past few months have been draws and those draws do no favours to test cricket. The pitches should be sporty and thats the least I can ask for. Btw anybody knows what impact would Pakistan have in their rankings after this series' victory??

well they have been improving neon, beating kiwis in their backyard was never considered easy, srilanka were a better ranked team too, they managed a draw against saffers as well. These series have built the momentum, now lets see if that help them to fare well against this dangerous english side. Tbh its not the time to make any predictions as action is just few hours away, that was just a joke.
