Cook – Good ball, actually spun a little, good take by keeper. Good move by misbah to bring on Hafeez and not let cook settle. Pakistan earned it.
Strauss – Not clever, trying to pull-shot a full length delivery. England threw it.
Trott – Has a tendency to move to middle-wicket and clip to leg-side, I’m going to be biased here and give that a earned wicket. Shorter and quicker from cheema. Pakistan Earned.
KP – Nothing of a delivery really. Mental issues with length. England threw it.
Bell - Doosra, not huge spin, but enough and he didn’t pick it up. Pakistan earned.
Morgan – Again, just a straight ball, which he should have picked up and hit straight – poor shot. England threw.
I haven’t seen any of the others yet, so cant comment. But Pakistan have done well to keep it tight and bowl line and length waiting for mistakes. Teams with dubious bowling attacks would be spraying the balls all over the place, and for that reason alone (discipline and patience), Paks deserve some credit.
England need to learn and learn fast. Pakistans day by a long distance, but we are are only 1 day in, out of a possible 15..... From a pakistan point of view, you can see/tell that some of the english top order actually fear ajmal (they shouldnt the form they have been in and considering the last 12 months they've had!!!) but they did today and Ajjy will turn it a heck of a lot more come 3 day onwards.
England top 6 wickets

Fair comment Afridi It is going to be fascinating to see if Swann can bowl anywhere near as well as your lad did today. If he can then we have a chance, if he can't then god knows how we are going to get out of this mess we are in. That said it's early days and tomorrow will be a cracker. Great day for your boys though today

is this correct that a cricket expert in Sjy commentary team was alleging that Ajmal Chucks.

Didnt listen to sky commentary but heard TMS. Geoffrey Boycott never said anything and he loves to call out a 'chucker'.
Disappointed that all our talk of patience came to nothing, leaving one of our most attacking batsmen to get his head down and save the innings.

Thats the only 1st out of possible 6 and Pakistan batting lineup is unpredictable.

Resurgence there was no mention of Ajmals action during commentary but David Gower in the studio tried his best to allude to his action but his co pundits (Tresco and Bob Willis) were quick to dismiss it.

Yeah, i heard it from somewhere.I wont mind if English players share Gower's views on Ajmal action and consider battle against Ajmal already lost because he uses unfair means.

Looks like questions have been raised after the game:

Typical isnt it.

Pakistani players in particular Ajmal should not mind one bit and I will be pleased if English players are thinking along the same lines but they are too professional to do that.Ajmal is a strong guy and he will not allow this to go to his head.

Well this has certainly stopped a bit of the chest beating of late.....

Bob Willis questioned Ajamls action after the days play, im not sure if he has ever been tested properly but I for one have always been suspicious of it. Johan Botha has had his doosra banned and to be honest there isnt much difference in either of thems doosra in terms of action
