Looks like we are going to sign him on a 5 year deal, but I am pretty sure if there is a release clause in his contract, it will be announced in your managers next press conference.

Even Newcastle are signing a good striker

We cant afford the transfer fees or wages of the vast majority of players who could improve us. We are competing with the rich sugar daddy clubs (City, Chelsea PSG, possibly Malaga) to sign the players whom do not interest the established elite (Milan, Real, Barcelona, United).
Nigh on impossible, and reliant heavily on luck and timing.

King Arry - Cisse could have improved us greatly, £7.5 million, probably £50k a week

RRP,
Cisse could have improved us greatly

On the basis of what?
I think Arsenal thought Chamakh & Gervinho was going to strengthen them. Everyone thought Dzeko was going to smash the PL golden boot, for whoever got his signature. But the fact is, these foreign players who look good in certain games (& on youtube) are no better than what we already have.
If we didnt have Defoe, we'd probably want him over Cisse.

Chicken - Only time for a quick reply as i got to be going...
But i can assure you, Cisse has a VERY good player, been watching him for 2 years now on ESPN, he is EXACTLY what we need not to mention for the small transfer fee he is more than worth the risk...but did we even look at him? Doubt it

Greatly? That's a strong statement which needs STATs! A one in two record in the second rate Bundesliga and 1 in 3 in the third rate Ligue 1.
He could possibly improve us, I don't know about him, but he could also be another Pav, Postiga, Rebrov, dot dot dot.
I think Levy/'arry have set their sights on a more proven signing. I guess as well as making the player more likely to do well for us it raises the clubs profile with other possible future signings.
We were linked with Cisse in the summer and have to trust that our scouts have done the due diligence.

RRP,
but did we even look at him?
=====================
I imagine Harry & team watch more games on ESPN (& certainly live) than you or me, so i would say they have had a look at him. In fact i would put my house on it.
Everyone is going on about how good Remy is, but he's playing in the same league that is making Joe Cole look world class - we have to put things into perspective & trust the experts that have come up with Walker instead of Bosingwa, Sandro instead of Mikel etc
What makes you think Cisse is going to be any better than Gio, N'Gog, Gervinho etc from abroad? I'd much rather a proven Premiership striker over any of them, even Nathan Dyer or Demsey would be a better shout.

Completely gutted what a signing and what a cheap price!
Cisse is very similar to Darren Bent only stronger physically and better positional sense. You wont get step overs galore but you will get goals.
What nobodys mentioned is he occasionally plays alongside Ba for Senegal. So they already know how to play together.
Did i mention i was gutted?

look like modric
The problem with Bent is, whilst he may score some goals, the rest of the team dont. Just look at his history, Bent scores goals at Charlton (wins the golden boot), the rest of the team do not. They are relegated.
Bent scores goals at Spurs, the rest of the team do not, we are in a relegation battle and have our worst ever start.
Bent scores goals at Sunderland. The rest of the team do not. They were struggling in the bottom half.
He goes to Villa & look at them now.
I do not want another "Bent type player" thank you.
