Morning clarets,
I was just wondering how many actually think that we will reach the play offs this season?
Eddie Howe is doing a great job and with the permanant signings of Trippier and Mee things are looking very well in the turf camp, that is more than I can say about our friends at Gloom wood Park.
Any thoughts??
Do you think we will reach the play offs th

Dear me, there are some Burnley survivors.
I thought the place had been quarantined after a viral outbreak it's been so quiet on the board.

I used to wonder why I got in to so many fights watching BFC, I thought I had anger management courses and failed 4 of them. Then I realised, I have a low stupidity threshold. Now I dissect and put back in my own words, well it works for me but I dont get as much satisfaction as bone grinding against nose

Bricks the rumours are not true, was told that you and MT had run off together and set up a commune for ex Coyle lovers.
Hate to say it but we told you so, hopefully you dump him soon and we can all get along together. He would probably have been a better manager if he had stayed and found out that being pally pally only gets you so far, anyhow how the heck are you.

He is starting to show some tactical and selection shortcomngs onts that the Prem exposes.
I still thnk we'll get out of trouble but Coyle will have to learn fast going forward or we should be looking elsewhere.

Bricks, cant see how you will get out of trouble. Coyle aint up to it tactically at Prem level and ED aint going to throw another 100 million at staying up. Think Rovers will survive which leaves Bolton,WBA,Wigan , Wolves and maybe QPR to scrap it out. Good luck anyway, I think you will need it.

He made some very good buys with us and also some that had you scratching your head especially when he never played them.
Our survival was actually down to one game, not BWFC or tRovers but we had to beat Wigan. If we had we would have stayed up on goal difference. I believe he could have motivated us for that game and we would have had another year. He could then move on, we get a manager coming in at the right time and would have had time to work with his team.
No axe to grind with Laws he was out of his depth but he gave it a try.
I really hope for your sakes that he pulls it off but you didnt look good on Saturday, mind you Utd were in no mood to have another slip up.

Read your comment on the Jay Rod post by Mallorca Trotter. Good reply to a total WUM. Eventually he will lose his cool and get banned again. Why on earth would Jay Rod want to take a sideways ( at best) move ? 4 months in the Prem at best.

I think its down to the feeling of entitlement, they think they are a fixture in the Prem and with that comes we can have who we want.
Sometimes get annoyed at Killby but he as done a very good job of keeping footie going in Burnley. The team, especially now are a real prospect again. Young, raw, exciting to watch and playing for each other. The old guard is gone and we can kick on with these. I think it will take some pretty fancy dancing and a whole wad of cash to get Jay out of Turf. Not saying it wont happen but we do not need to sell.
I hope BWFC evade the drop after getting rid of Coyle, sooner he leaves and crawls back under a stone the better. As I said above we had to beat Wigan and we would have been safe, Laws could not get the best out of them.
Any way Eddie is here now and hopefully will be here a long time, build a team that if they go boing for a few years then it will be well worth it.

Bolton were ok pre Coyle and Mallorca Trotter. I have no interest in them now although it is quite satisfying to watch Coyle sitting on the bench and having no clue what to do !
As for Burnley, we do seem to be developing an exciting young team who could surprise us all, maybe not this season but certainly next..................UNLESS we sell our best players again.
