Why does the club insult our intelligence by trotting out the same guff at the same stages of every transfer window/close season, ie:
We have identifed our targets and are working hard to secure them and we can expect an 'explosion of activity', incredibly a smattering of players of the correct quality, ie Andrews, Clingan etc are linked. This is usually accompanied with some spiel about having to get all the relevant parties into the country at the same time etc.....
Next its usually, we have to be patient to ensure that these players are of the correct calibre. 'There's no point signing players for the sake of it, they have to fit with our first team plans'...at the same time the club laughably, is trialling players we have never heard of, from teams and leagues we've never heard of and in the case of a bloke called Pattison can't even get into a S. African team.
Next (2 weeks in) its starting to Pete Tong...
Other naughty clubs then have the temerity to offer better packages than ourselves and unsportingly sign 'our targets', at this point players and agents are accused of being greedy with unrealistic demands and we only want the players that are prepared to crawl over broken glass to play for us.
Out of the blue, at the end of the window, 1 or more of our 'better players' is spirited out of the club for an 'undisclosed fee' accompanied by there's no point keeping unhappy players that weren't good enough for the future of the club anyway. Frustratingly, despite Mr. Grayson being 'on the phone' 24/7 for a month, the window slams shut with no inward investment, but don't worry, the emergency loan deadline will soon be upon us!
Apoolgies if my quotations are not totally accurate, but the club hopes we get the message about how hard they tried (again).

Spot on But don't forget the stuff about walking over broken glass to play for Leeds.
I'm now more worried than ever that players like Howson, Snodds, Clayton, Lees, White and McCormack will be gone soon. We're a selling club, where our kids are sold and senior players see no ambition or prospect of promotion

Why do we wait till the end of the xfer window to sign players, surely Larry must have his targets & 2nd & 3rd choices already in mind, so as soon as the window opens get them in & get them playing for the team ? I stead its a agonosing wait for the fans & ESPECIALLY THE PLAYERS to see who we yet again haven't signed & also who we are to lose. This is the 1 thing that actually drives me mad about Larry & his team of so called negociators. IS it that the targets will be cheaper closer to the end of the xfer window.
WE ARE SO A SELLING CLUB to line the pocket of that parasite. While that piece of shizzle is here were are going to play Championship foota at best
