Anyone else get nostalgic about Dunn, Duff and Pedersen being the 3 stand-out performers on saturday? Was like going back in time about 8 years. There was one battle between Dunn and Duff by the corner flag near where I'm sat that I found particularly surreal.
Personally I think there's too much emphasis placed on youth these days and what young players can bring to a side, saturday was a reminder of what the golden oldies can bring. In their prime Dunn and Pedersen were twice as good as any of the midfielders Kean has signed in the last year and some fans calls to get shut of them in favour of the new guard have always struck me as daft. They've had plenty of criticism this season (justified at times). But used correctly, Dunn behind the target man and Pedersen as a winger who tucks into the middle, they've still got plenty to offer.
Quick mention for the fans, who I thought (unlike wow) were amazing. Minus the idiot giving Dunny grief in the riverside of course. If you can't understand the stupidity in aggressively closing the opposition down in their own half when your team has 10 men, you should probably be banned from watching football!

Thought there was a good mix of younger and older players against Fulham.
The likes of Dunn, Duff, MGP have got most of the tee-shirts. Years playing in the PL and in the case of Duff and MGP countless International caps.
If our younger players enjoy only half the success of these lads they will have good careers.
