Leaving the rest of england behind

Great feeling around AVB. Like when mourinho first came, the rest of the prem won't know what's happened to them and we can leave united and others trailing in our wake.

We are looking at 90 points and winning the prem by 10 points this season.
Make no mistake: this guy is as hungry and driven as JM in 2005

Yeah totally agree. We should win the domestic treble this year no doubt.

Should get 6 points from each of the big teams too.

Things are looking good.

I have to laugh at the way people are getting so carried away with AVB.

He's only 33 with 2-3 years tops managing experience?

Won a very poor standard of league with Porto, which is like winning the SPL with Celtic or Rangers. Every year its either Porto or Benfica

Won the Europa Leage, which has turned into a farce of a competition, no-one takes it seriously, Premier League teams can't wait to be knocked out, mighty Braga made it to the final!

At least Mourinho won the CL

Looking at winning the title v Liverpool at Anfield.

Or ideally v QPR at home or Arsenal away

AVB2 is not really a Chelsea fan, he's just doing this to wum.

This is guy needs three months to build a title-winning side not three years like KK, SAF, AW or any of the other dinosaurs

He'll take time to find his feet in the PL.So far, he hasn't lost a competitive game, but that will change pretty quickly! I believe he was the right signing - going back for Hiddink would only have ended in disaster (when has a returning manager ever exceeded his previous successes? Keegan, Kendall, Atkinson, Taylor etc)

Villas-Boas is an unknown quantity in this league and I think everyone will look forward to seeing how he shapes the team for the coming season. Surely the days of Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, Zhirkov and possibly Essien are over. I wouldn't be surprised to see Torres sold on either to finance deals for Falcao and Moutinho. AVB will want to make this 'his' team - not one he simply inherited and whipped into shape. Expect this to be the final season for Lampard and possibly Terry too as he looks at bringing the average age of the squad down.

I hope he works out for you - somebody needs to stop Utd's dominance (and you can guarantee it won't be the Gunners!)

don't be so sure that radical changes will sweep through the squad. He's not like Mourinho in the sense that because of Jose 'larger than life' personality he needs allies in his group quickly before he starts alienating people, Andre is almost the complete opposite. He's much more calm and grounded. He'll certainly spend abit but he won't rampage through the existing squad cutting people out. And he certainly won't sell Torres.

SC Braga won season before last. Porto didn't even get into the CL that season and within a year Villa-Boas steered them into first place with a month to go unbeaten. He's obviously talented
