There's a lot of hype, isn't there?

It fits with the policy i.e UK born and young, however whether he costs 10m or not isn't really a concern. It could be bargain of the century or it could be a disaster. I for one, don't think he's worth that, but I'm not paying. He's probably got another 14 years at the top barring serious injury, so we'll more than likely get that money back.

I'd rather see Suso/Pacheco/Sterling be given a squad number and an opportunity. It seems we continue to buy in first team youngsters over the heads of players that we possibly should be bringing through.

Injuries to Suarez or Carroll, which let's face it are likely and N'gog's likely exit and we're in the same position as last year. However it's clear from the policy that we're playing to a 3/4 year plan at the moment.

I'd rather have him than not have him..

You may well be right. And if Kenny thinks he's the man then that's good enough for me.

But I would like to see players brought in that can make an instant impact. It's going to be a devil of a job getting Champions league football back, and were gonna have to hit the ground running. Can we afford to spend 10m on a player who's going to sit on the bench when we have Kuyt Carroll and Suarez. We could back them up with Morgan this season.

What we're looking at is a trolley dash before the fair play rules come into effect. We look to be trying to set ourselves up for the next 5 years.

I'm pretty sure we'll have all bases covered by the beginning of the season...

We didn't have a pot to pis in at that point. I can't see it happening this season. Come July 1st, I think we'll see a lot of action..
