What player would you like to return?

With Scholes and Henry returning to play in the Premiership I was wondering which player from the past you would love to see play for the tangerines again. It can be any player from the past or who is still playing somewhere. You are selecting one player at their prime, who would it be?

Mine would be Paul Sturrock.

Ralph Milne was a good player. if memory serves me right unless it's been corrupted by alcohol over the years was he not one of Alex Fergusons first signings down at Man Utd?

your team that won the league really was something else. As a Celtic fan, very young at that time i remember going to hampden to play Utd i believe in a cup semi. we lost 3-2 from what i can remember.

we had a right good team at that time, it was a great rivalry and competition between yourselves, us and Aberdeen at that time.

would have been some time to be an arab

Late 70s and most of the 80s was an amazing time for scottish football, not just united. I watch footage from that era quiet often when i'm bored and although all the players were awesome theyre was something even more special about some of milnes goals. If were had the teams now of aberdeen, united plus the old firm and hearts had a decent side in the 80s, the SPL would be worth a fortune, we'd be dealing in millions all the time. And improving all the stadiums like i noticed wolves were the other night!!!!!!

Dave Narey. Pure class. The best ever player to don the tangerine IMO.

For me if we're bringing someone back then it has to be to fill in a problem area of the team. That's got to be centre half which means it has to be Dave Narey. On a 10 year contract. With an additional 10 years if we want to extend it.

I was thinking about this today aswell...I would bring back Erik Pedersen, the way the boy got the crowd going before the game, I wouldn't say he was a legend in the same breath as Sturrock, Milne, Malpas, Narey, Hegarty et al but he always 100% and I don't really remember him having a bad game for us.
