Finances are going to take time to sort out because of players coming to end of contracts. People tend to forget that starting at the beginning of next season when ticket money comes in we are going to have income. The club generates approx £14 million per season in ticket money and other revenue, and to give an indication of current players contracts, if we have a 1st team squad of 22 players on an average of £5k per week each the squad wage bill would be £5.7 million which still leaves £8.3 million towards other costs (management, admin, etc). Makes you stop and think what some of this lot must be on with a squad wage bill of over £11 million.

I've told you before and I'll tell you again. I have two cousins who are red dog fans and they are crying their eyes out, they are the ones who sent it to me.
Unlike you lot they don't go on football forums, and they have been saying to me we should take a leaf out of Derby's book by bringing the youngsters through. At least they are talking sense, are you lot?

have you actually read anything anyone has said recently Wassa. we want to bring youth through. not to emulate Derby, though, as you have achieved absolutely nothing for a very long time.

Stillhate,
I can understand your anguish but to say that Derby have achieved nothing is just simply willful blindness.
Nigel has built a team.
He's got the wagebill to manageable proportions.
He's built an Aademy that's producing sound performers with brilliant prospects.
He's got the team playing as a team getting brilliant rsults week after week.
I could go on.
