"Lewis is very fast, aggressive and totally focused, he is only interested in victory. Sebastian has not reached that level yet," Alonso told German magazine Sport-Bild.
"I know he's the double world champion, but he is still somewhat behind the level Lewis has set."
Fernando Alonso

With two world championships under his belt
I would think Vettels is very happy with the level
he’s at and leave Hamilton at his level

For once I kind of agree. I rate Hamilton more highly than Vettel
I think Vettel is an absolutely amazing driver (only an idiot would question that), but I'd like to see him in a car that isn't 2 seconds a lap faster than the rest of the grid, to see how he gets on.
Button, Hamilton, Alonso and Schumacher have all had seasons competing in the middle or at the back, and they are all very strong and competitive drivers because of it.

Alonso praises Hamilton here as well . Both drivers have mutual respect for each other, I wish their fans did the same.
I agreee with Fernando, I believe Alonso and Hamilton are the class of the field and I rate Button a lot mroe than Seb.
No blown diffusers next year, lets see what Redbull can do

think you will find this is a year old comment that " sport bild " have dug up from alonso after vettel won his first WDC in 2010 -- can remember reading the same thing from the german media outlet over a year ago ,
think we can safely say vettel was a quicker , more intelligent animal in 2011 than he was in 2010 -
as for hamilton -- to me he took a step backward last year in a mclaren that was very often the equal of the red bull in 2011 ,
just my opinion but i believe the 2011 version of vettel would have decimated the 2011 version of lewis hamilton had they been at red bull together ,
---- pretty sure if button could do it which he did in 2011 vettel also would have had hamiltons number -
the sobering thought is vettel at 24 yrs of age is only going to get better , personally believe with vettel advancing to a higher level of performance during 2011 and no doubt will improve even further in the next couple of years hamilton may find his WDC title aspirations thwarted for the next few years --

Agree with most posts. It's ludicrous to talk of Vettel's "class" when he has had such a massive speed advantage compared to other drivers. Theere have certainly been question marks over his ability to overtake and how he performs when not out in front. From what we've seen, I would say Hamilton is the better driver but it's hard to tell given the relative perforamance differentials in the cars.
