Sky Sports understands Gary Woods will be allowed to leave Doncaster on loan to get first team experience.
The 21-year-old joined Rovers in 2009 from Manchester United on a free transfer after he failed to make a single appearance for the first team at Old Trafford.
He has started nine league games and two Carling Cup ties for the South Yorkshire side this season.
Woods started the season as first choice, but lost his place to veteran goalkeeper Neil Sullivan after Doncaster lost five out of their first eight games.
He is still regarded as a star of the future at the Keepmoat Stadium, but will be allowed to leave on loan after David Button arrived on loan from Tottenham.

When Billy leaves, we will be saying ‘He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!’

I'm sure he will blossom eventually if he doesn't leaf it too long. It's good to see him branching out and I for one will be rooting for him but bough to Button's better grafting.

Not surprised at all, given he was apparently told he could find a new club back in November
