I really miss the good old days when we were at the Withdean Stadium. It was in a much better location and generated a truly intimidating atmosphere. I would go as far as saying it was one of the great football stadiums in England.
The bad news is that we have moved to the AMERICAN EXPRESS COMMUNITY STADIUM. Away fans just hear that name and laugh. The stadium is too big for us and doesn't generate any atmosphere what so ever, all I can hear is people eating their prawn sandwiches.
Has anyone else got some stories they want to share from the Withdean? If I could have 1 wish it would be that we could go back there!!
COME ON BRIGHTON!!!!!
Take us back to the Withdean Stadium NOW!!!

I hear the name Withdean Stadium and dying of exposure comes to mind. No, but seriously, I sympathise. I haven't been to the American Express Community Stadium yet, but guess that like my most modern stadia it will be as soul-less as its name suggests. Championship team supporters laugh at our ramshackle stadium but nostagically enjoy the experience. Our's is to be refurbished, but we're fighting to retain standing in the London Road End. The non-prawn sandwich brigade at your club ought to fight for some standing to be re-introduced and either to change the stadium name or heavily publicise an alternative name more in keeping with the proud traditions of the club and its locality - 'The Seagull Stadium' or 'The Stadium of the Sea'? UTP!

The Amex is a grate stadium, ive only watched 1 game brighton beat sunderland. It was rocking. I went to school near withdean, we did sports days there, I did shot put.
The corners will be filled in and it will be a grate stadium. The dressing rooms have grass. and the away fans have their teams colours and posters put up in their section.
Bring back the goldstone.
