You can probably get a good idea of what they think about the loan from the thread two places below this one titled "Miles Addison".
They're using it as some kind of pie debating forum now, but earlier they discussed Miles and the general consensus is that they're not too happy. This is largely due to the fact that replacing your player of the season with a 6 month loan doesn't tend to sit well with most fans, but there's also a rather naive feeling that Addison can't be very good because we finished below them.. Hopefully he'll prove them wrong and display the form that saw him called up to the England U21s.

Well thats what Glick wants him to get back to that form and to have a player that is expected to get back to his U21 England standard is not bad to have at all. I also can't see what they are complaining about having a player from a team below them Blackpool had Varney and I didnt hear them complain.

I think it's due to disappointment. There were initially rumours that they were going to sign Addison and those were met with much higher approval.
As fans of a championship club we know all too well how frustrating it is to have players on loan because we know that if they do well their parent club will want them back or a bigger club will nip in and steal them.

Well all derby fans understand that especially when we had Leon Osman which cam to us for pretty much the same reason Addison is going to them.

I think it stinks. If he plays a belter he will be going back to Derby.
If he plays poorly What does he care, blame it on the injury, settling in, anything - then he will go back to Derby.
Where does that leave us? no center half and any consistancy at the back, gone.

Agree Tinkler but Addison on top form is to good for this division IMO and if he can get Barnsley an extra 5-6 points then its good business all round
Its not nice when you have to give them back though.
He came back from long term injury and then played 90 minutes away at Newcastle were we got a 0 - 0 draw.........He had to be carried on to the bus as he was that exhausted. That should tell you something about his character

Unlike a few others on this forum, I think that Addison coming to the club could be a good thing.
I am gutted that we haven't got him permanently but having a player that will give it his all* could help the team in both results and quality of squad (From the look of things Hill is trying to form a team of players that want to prove themselves and if Addison returns to match fitness pretty quick that sets a high bar for anyone trying to get into the team ahead of him) .
If he does turn out to be a waster that blames injury/ cant be bothered etc etc I dont think Hill will stand for it and send him back.
Either way this guy is costing us nothing in wages or transfer fee.
*according to a number of people on the Rams board anyway
