What was it for exactly?
Did anyone see the specific incident? x
Di Canio Red

Our centre back got pushed in the back whilst trying to shield the ball out of play which was a clear foul, but the ref gave nothing Macclesfield then had 3 players in attack compared to our two the ball got squared to their attacker in a one on one situation but luckily blazed over. So Di Canio, along with everyone in the ground (exlcuding the 38 Mac Fans) was furious and had a heated chat with the fourth official which i've seen plenty of managers do and he just reactted a bit OTT to getting sent to the stands. All could of been avoided but for a incompetent ref.

Totally agree, I was up out of my seat when the ref didn't give that foul it was that blatant, and your right it could/should of cost us a goal against the run of play.
Having said that the league will see this as another hissy fit by Paolo and I would imagine he won't get off lightly this time especially as it was his first game back after his ban. Not sure if it's possible but for the good of the team and club in general Paolo somehow needs to stay on the right side of the officials because if not in the end it will just hamper his managerial career. The referee was really poor on Saturday but after half a season Paolo now knows how bad some refs at this level can be so just needs to take a step back and count to ten.

His attitude is poor no respect for other people in the game! I take it you seen the interview after the game?!
No reflection on your club and fans I might add and looking forward to welcoming your fans to the King Pow this Saturday!

Looking forward to coming up Saturday culle. Paolo is a very passionate man And that's how he manages the team. Really don't think he disrespects other managers only perhaps if they have slagged him off as many have this season. Reading his regular interviews and programme notes he isn't to big to admit that he is making mistakes in this his first managers roll but personally I think unless he learns to control his emotions he will continue to find himself in the spotlight for he wrong reasons which would be a shame as he has already proved he can manage. Sounds like we are bringing a few thousand plus Saturday so hope we all get to see a good game. Well done on your win tonight, no mean feat against a very good saints side.

Culle - I can see why you have that opinion, however I have to agree with Notts. Paolo is very excitable and unable to control himself in the face of what he sees as injustice. The decision on Saturday was deplorable and could have cost us the game. But arrogant and disrespectful he isn't. Having said that he needs some 'emotion control' counselling otherwise he'll become marked by officials and the club will suffer one way or another.
Great win for you last night...always good to see Southampton lose at home, I find a lot of their fans seriously delusional! You seem to be coming into some good form, hope we give you a game on Saturday.

Great explanation lads, of course i'm only looking in from outside. Dont get me wrong we were lucky enough to have Martin O'neil and he was like a fire work!! so i agree and like the passion.
What worries me about Paolo, he looks like hes going to knock someones lights out?! that to me goes beyond passion.
That all said i cant believe Swindon are in league 2!! i remember that great wembly final like yesterday! what a game....
See you Saturday boys.....

Yes, he does look like that doesn't he...it's scary and more than a little worrying!
The Wembley final was a great game and if I'd been in your shoes I'd have been devastated. We were so lucky to get out of jail. Kevin Poole's contact with Steve White seemed minimal but Steve was a wily professional and made the most of it. Paul Bodin is always remembered for scoring the penalty.
Saw your goals from the Southampton game...cracker from Nugent, I hope it doesn't repeat it on Saturday!

Got to be honest I couldn't even watch the pen at Wembley my nerves were shot to bits. Have watched it plenty of times since though .
Culle, Paolo can be over passionate at times but really don't think he means to upset anybody by it. He talks a lot about how much other managers have achieved and hopefully him and Nigel will be able to enjoy the game on Saturday. If your at the match Culle try and make a point of watching Paolo and you'll see that Paolo lives every moment of the game as if he was actually out there. I mostly feel sorry for anyone on our bench as he explains his every thought to them continuously. I'm really looking forward to a good day out on Saturday with my teenage son and a few friends regardless of the result. What sort of attendance are you expecting for this one ? Will make a change visiting a decent stadium instead of some of the grounds I have been to this season. The County Ground isn't fantastic but its probably the Wembley of league two !

So the FA have finally decided to charge PdC...they really do know FA about football!

Can't see The FA backing down on this one if Paolo appeals, Paolo is far to passionate for their liking. It's ridiculous that the referee and forth official gets away with a total over reaction. The game needs more managers like Paolo but the FA just can't handle that thought. Probably going to get between a two and four game touch line ban because of a very poor refereeing decision !
