Facts

after havin a few hours to calm down after the game iv come to the follwing conclusions -

1-we need a new striker. yes its been said before but defoe was horribly icolated today particularly first half, not his fault but clearly levy needs to buy a target man. we missed ade big time today

2-we have magnificent team spirit and belief. did anyone really think we would roll over after going 2 down? i definately didnt and thats down to consistent spirit and belief show by this team in rhe last 12-18 months. despite losing the game i firmly beleive we have showed that we have the mentality and bottle to win trophies

3-top class CB needed. thought kaboul and king were good today but it is sometimes sad to see king playing as he wasnt near full fitness today and we cant really rely on him for too longer as much as it pains me to say

4-all the benny lovers can you now just stop? the guys a liability he was at fault for the build up to penalty and countlessy gave the ball away during the game and is just not focused enough. people can clamber on about how hes such a good guy but thats no excuse hes costin us points on too many occasions

5-fridel was great today and nice to see him come off his line which we havent really seen before was top class. we lack threat from set pieces and are poor at defending them, this is understandable especially today as we lacked height

6-rafa vdv is not up to it for big away games v the likes of city, united, chelsea. he is too slow and doesnt have the fitness/stamina required. dont get me wrong i loved the guy but it was noticeable how much more ground jake covered when he came on

7-we can hold our heads high, COYS

"I think that's a bit harsh RDBD"

Nope. The weaknesses in his game have been there, but bearable.
The nature of the opponent made them more obvious today.

But I assume these things can be worked on (individually, as a team etc) .

i thought BAE was very poor today how many times did he give the ball away in the first half? he also was caught in possesion a few times. kaboul was colossal in the air he was fantastic i thought and so was scotty

Exactly - the most expensive side in the PL that haven't dropped a single point at home this season. Yeah he makes the odd mistake, but I think we're overreacting to say he's not good enough. Ledley gave away the penalty when he could have stayed on his feet.

He does not make the "odd" mistake (and I am not talking about the min 94 blah blah) . He makes the same mistake,

Yesterday that mistake was amplified due to the opponent.

"Ledley gave away the penalty when he could have stayed on his feet"

Wrong.
Bib boy had a chance on goal unchecked. Which is why Ledley made the tackle, Put the outcome in your Ledley souvenir album.

Wrong.

In your opinion, I disagree.

I agree with Bales. Ledley could've stayed on his feet, Balocheatingstamper would've had to do very well to score from that position. Ledley did not need to dive in.

Ledley made a mistake. It happens (about once every 5 years from the King).

Instinct kicks in. The defender sees a goal scoring threat with seconds to go. As we've said, one of those rareties where the King end product went awry.

It is indeed a very rare occurance but this "instinct" to dive in probably came about because he isn't 100% fit and Balotelli had only just come off the bench. I'm sure if that'd been in the first 20 minutes Ledley would've marshalled him out of harm's way

I'm not really too fussed.
TBH neither are most Spurs supporters deep down other than the fact that Bib boy was the one fouled + then scored the spot kick.

Fair enough, I hope we've seen the last of the Balotelli love-in on Spurs 606 now.
