A little competition.

My thoughts on what Ive heard about the game:

I hope we could have some input from those who were at Turf Moor, so it can be judged how good a result we had yesterday. I havent really noticed any articles from those that were there so please feel free to give us your opinion.

It sounded like we needed to be organised, judging by the conditions, lack of results in that Ground and playing an in form Burnley.

I liked what I heard about brilliant saves, a highly compact and stingy defence and the fact that instead of soaking up pressure we pushed at them. Conceded less fouls, had fewer chances but more on target.
I really do hope one of these strikers can get firing soon, just to take a little more pressure off.

I find the Theo Robinson and Ryan Noble situation fascinating. Noble, scoring goals for fun for Sunderland reserves, and Theo, Derbys top scorer and in form. Theo is competing for his shirt with a young guy who wants to break into Sunderlands first team, but is struggling to get there because they don't have a problem scoring goals at present. Its an interesting deal between the Managers in particular. I would love to know how they compared yesterday, as I heard Noble missed a good chance late on.

There was also a statement from Clough about Tysons fitness, and the response was two weeks today. Forest at home. That statement made my ears p$%"k (Uh? I cant even say p$%"k WTF) up.

Anyway we are seeing guys fighting for the shirt. I would like to thank NC for keeping good on that promise. I know cynics will say that Noble isnt ours, but we might get a hell of a player out of it for a crucial month ahead, or the competition will create a monster out of one of ours.
And push the likes of Davies, who is returning next weekend apparently, to try and get his place back. So maybe the market isnt the best place to be delving into in January, perhaps we need to see which striker has the bottle to take number one slot. Football used to be like that.

Anyway, I would like to say a big thanks to all who made the trip to Turf Moor yesterday. It sounded like a foul day, and yet nearly all reports I have read mentioned the away support.

I just hope that this is one of life's scripts that its inevitable that Tyson scores against the dogs and a RAMS victory........You can but dream.

well I fear the forest game, I must admit because has shock defeat written all over it.

Them having not won since the dinosaurs were walking the earth and us on great run. Story writes itself.

As for Strikers, I think you made valid point here black, sure Noble is not ours but should hopefully keep bit of fight for places and players on toes, without making them feel pushed out.

I'll be angry if Tyson starts v Notts Forest, something not quite fair about it if he did, other players have earnt the shirt.

As I said last week, it's these games that are the ones to judge, as traditionally they trip us up and make Derby look silly. So it's a creditable point and the makings (spine) of a decent championship side.
