In my opinion Bolton did us a massive favour on Saturday night (stay with me). I for one was getting tired of our below par performances followed by Kenny's arm round the shoulder defending the team approach. This result and performance will hopefully be a wake up call.
Kenny got it bang on with his assessment about the players attitudes. (Though it could be argued that it's his job to make sure they don't have this attitude). Liverpool seemed to think they can purely show up and pick up the 3 points. This was most evident at one point in the second half; Bolton had a free kick about 25 yards out, Liverpool didn't even make a wall and when the ball was passed to Eagles he was simply allowed to run to the edge of the box and shoot?!
I am glad we got beat in this manner, if we had been on top and lost I believe this would have papered over the cracks. This way Kenny and the team may be proactive and actually go into the transfer market and/or give other players a chance. Either way it'll shake them up before some very big games. If we perform like that against the Manchester clubs we could be looking at double figures.
I hate criticising Liverpool players but Andy Carroll is getting embarrassing. When he completely missed the ball in the 2nd half I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, what's more the interest in Suarez seems to be building from Spain and Italy, who could blame him for leaving.
I just hope we can make this result into a positive and use it as a turning point....
Thank you Bolton!

Against Stoke Kenny got the tactics right Imo as something similar to Bolton match would've happened. Rap when the 442 formatiom with Gerrard and Adam I knew it wasn't going to end well. It was tactically embarrassing and I expected Kenny to know better. When you and toor were calling for it I always said it didn't work that way, that you just don't turn up and win a game.
I said you don't play 442 without the midfielders and wingers and you all said Adam could handle it defensively. Now you know why I've been against 442 and I blame Kenny more for the performance. If he had made the difficult decision to stand by tactics vs Stoke, I'm pretty sure the result would have been different. Don't even get me started on the signings. I still back him to fix it as long as he doesn't repeat the mistakes.

Robbing Hoody..................Carrolls run of games
started 5 of the last 7 games, only scored against oldham and had some chances v newcastle, one against City, if that is not enough for a £35m striker then I am baffled. Suarez cost £23m, he makes an impact every game and he did not have prem experience.
We need to stop making excuses for this guy, he just is not able to cut it. I know suarez and him are different players but at least if Suarez does not score, he is trying to make things happen. I can't really say that for carroll.
sorry guys I know this looks like am am making carroll the scapegoat but we really need something else upfront.
I'd rather take jelavic just becasue he pass and control a BALL!!!!

Jelavic!!!!!
He is nowhere near Liverpool standard.
King Kenny has bought enough shiitte without this clon.

I think Adam is getting far too much critisism! Yes he plays a few too many hollywood balls and he doesnt look comfortable defensively, but he's dramtically moved up levels in recent years and will need time to adapt!! I beleive he will be a star player in the future and I also beleive that Hendo and a lot of the youngsters will
However Carroll leading the goal hunt at present concerns me, it actually gives me nightmares! He might come good one day, but we need goals now and he isnt gonna provide a flury any time soon and even Suarez isnt an out and out goal scorer, he's more of a Rooney player!

Adam a star? Having a laugh... Adam is so selfish that whenever two players are on both sides waiting for a pass from him for a tap in, he always decides to take a shot or runs into the player in front of him to get a pen/free kick.
Henderson? YES!

I think he will come good, but he's not a defensive player!

Adam isn't good enough to play centre midfield without having a player who will sit back ala Lucas. Gerrard can do this role but why stifle gerrard going forward to accomodate an inferior player.
Like RAP says his tackling is pants and honestliverpool is right too, far to selfish.
However, I do think he can be a good player depending on the formation and a bit more common sense.

He's a good squad player...

I don't know if he would be happy being a squad player? It's a shame we didn't go for Scott Parker in the summer
