Could get four game ban................

Lescott gets away with it

They did trial a system with lights that could only be seen by the linesman on the other side of the pitch which gave him a perfect straight line to help him judge offsides

Dont know what happened to that

"It's a shame it can't change the result. The guy who won and scored the penalty shouldn't have been on the pitch."

How far do you want to go with that though? Both ourselves and United have had games where we have lost points to dubious refereeing decisions, as have, I imagine, every other team.

Bales, this is all speculation but we simply won't ever know whether it can work until it's tried. Stick it in the Johnson's Paint Trophy and see how it goes.

Bales -

Eff FIFA, why can't we try out these systems ourselves, the only way to see what needs work/improving is to actually use them to find out where the flaws are. There are plenty of friendlys throughout the year to test these things.

How does the ice hockey one work then, as soon as that puck goes in the net that hooter and light are letting everyone know.

Thanks Boris

I dunno, I say the playing field is level unless you're accusing the refs of bias. Which is a different matter altogether.

For me I only want to see technology brought in for the goal-line. Everything else is so open to interpretation - for example - what if the guy watching the screen just hates Rooney??

The ref should be trusted to judge the game

im a bit late on this one but...

A sensor in the ball and receptors in the woodwork (a bit like a directional version of the security tag readers on supermarket exits) sending a bleep to the refs headset to let him know the ball crossed the line - he doesnt have to give a goal if he thinks there was a foul or offside - but at least he knows it definitely crossed the line.
