Should he start in the Fa Cup against QPR (1-0) on Saturday.
5 starts for no
1 star for yes
I say No.
It is a must win game. Start Mata!
Lalkovic

It won't happen either way.

I dont want it to happen.
Stig. Mata is a proffesional ffs. He gets paid thousands to play and by the looks of it he loves to play. He doesnt need a rest. He is 23 not 18.

This isn't any FA Cup game. The whole Terry/Ferdinand saga has made it much more than that. Tempers are bound to get frayed, tackles will be flying in. Experienced and (hopefully) cool heads are going to be required. This is also our most (only?) realistic chance of silverware.
I really like Lalkovic but throwing him a first start in that environment would be insane.

HEs a proffesional yes we know but everyone needs a rest we base our whole game around him he starts everything he gives that bit extra every game id rather have a 100 % mata playing vs swansea and united
then an 85% mata vs all 3

4-2-3-1 with Lalkovic on the left gives us a chance to test both player and formation.
Ok He might not be 100% ready but I for one don't want to play Malouda.

Mata can play behind the striker.

You make some valid points but i cant help but think that some of our first team players are hardly too good for the reserves either.
And even if he doesn't have as much experience he's bound to be more eager and put some effort into the game, unlike aforementioned players.
