Sean Morrison

Joined us on loan until the end of the season. Given that we had him last season and never used him lets hope we get to see him in action this time!

Great signing, surely it has to be him and McCombe given a chance together now?

Sean was a good player for us, if prone to the occasional error, but he was young and learning. Playing alongside an experienced player I'm sure he'd do well for you. He's also capable of getting the odd goal or two, got an excellent one against you the season before last.

Don't understand why Danny Ward doesn't get more starts...he was a gem when on loan with us with lots of quality and a great attitude.

Doesn't take long for our manager to start messing with a young player's mind. Ward played the first game, then got dropped to the bench, came on and scored, then played one, got dropped again ...

He did it with Rhodes last season for god's sake - brought in Joe "The Goal Machine" Garner (16 games, no goals) and played him ahead of Rhodes for the first half of the season. Then did the same with Alan Lee (what was it 25 games, no goals?)

Genius.

Arfield is a midfield centre man,
so on that basis he generally gets played out of position.
Ward is a out & out #7, & needs (& should get) regular selection.
Kay is a Captain in his own right, a Month with Jamie & he would shine.
Novak would be devastating playing in front of an attack minded mid-field.
When Woods is fit, the #3 shirt should be his.
The best position for Clark, (how many more times do I mention this) is ..
Upper tier, row ZZ, seat 200.

They have to get fitter.
Use more & ALL of the pitch.
& be left alone to get on with their own game.

promotion.

Arfield - agreed
Ward - agree to an extent, he's not an out and out winger
Kay - disagreed, he has been awful for most of this season
Novak - massively disagree, he'll never be "devastating"
Woods - agreed

Not just the young players Eggnob, Arfield n Joey started great together last season, Arfield played in the position he impressed Clarky enough to sign him, Attacking centre mid, Played another 3 or 4 games, Was then dropped to the bench, Then dropped altogether, Then returned and played full back before finishing the season as a safety first right winger ! More or less anyway, Joey n SA looked like they could have made a decent pairing, But alas Clarky has decided that he now does not want the player (JG) who he signed to build the team around, He didnt want MCoooome, He loved Kay, Then he fell out wi him, Then he came back into favour and now he appears surplus again, This list is more or less endless and i could go on all night, So i will stop now as its getting boring and everybody agrees bar Mirf.

Re - Morrison, You have to remember he played alongside Greer, And sadly we dont have a centre back half as good, either as a player or a talker.

Constant overlaps by Hunt would aid Ward tenfold,
Hunt used or not.

Kay would play 'his' game alongside McCombe, not having to worry about someone he can't rely on..The Captaincy would 'lift' him to where we know he should be operating from.

With the mid-field pushing up at every opportunity, Novak would become a pain in the you know what to most defenses, And be put through in his own right to score many more goals than he has to date...wasted as is.

IMO

Clarke must be dropped, he is too slow for a defender and his timing of a tackle is woeful! That is why he concedes free kicks and penalties!

There needs to be a total overhaul of the defence, that has been the main problem for Town failing to achieve promotion. Are the leagues so poor in quality defenders? People on here have questioned which defenders could come in and do well for Town. If two or three quality defenders can't be found in the non league, league one or championship, then English football is surely dying a slow and painful death!
