i dont Know about ponting, but i can assure you the indian bowlers agrgregate of total runs has definately reached 14000 in the last 2 series. at this rate i can see clarKe reaching another 300 before tea today.

seriously though, ponting looks like the kinda guy that could go on for a coupe more years and get to 15,000 test match runs and maybe even squeeze to 50 test match hundreds.
