Morning Blues.
So, we're 1-0 down. We score once tonight (1-1 like Cardiff v Palace) and it could go to extra time and penalties. We all know this obviously.
We score twice, Liverpool score once (2-2) and it cannot go to penalties because the away goals rule kicks in at the end of extra time.
I predict we win 2-1 on the night and go through on the away goals rule.
What are your predictions?
Prediction for tonight

City have to press - therefore I expect Bellamy to be the main threat from the counter attack.
Hopefully he will have good support from someone Maxi

I'd like to remind everyone that we were 2-0 up against Spurs before Mario came on, on Sunday - I don't think Bobby would have played him anyway as Dalglish obviously gets Skrytl and Adam to wind him up. Gareth Barry will be our main man tonight.

I've kind of written this one off - fatalism. Reminds me a bit of the 1981 league cup semi when we had a perfectly good Kevin Reeves goal disallowed in the first leg. Mind you that was against a real Liverpool team, not the present mediocrity. As long as we don't get any more suspensions or injuries I don't care.

Bellamy wont play tonight.
He'll play against Utd on Sunday.
Downing will play LW tonight, thats certain.

Whichever team gets through would make a big mistake by underestimating Cardiff.
They have been a good side for several years, like Swansea before them.
Malky Mackay seems to have added that little bit extra to them, like Rodgers did for Swansea.
I could see Cardiff going up this season and holding their own next season.
They are certainly capable of beating Liverpool, given their record against weaker teams this season, and City too if they are not at it.

The Away goals rule only counts after extra time by the way so if Cuty are wining 2-1 and 90mins we will go to extra time. If it is still 2-1 AET then City win.

**better punctuation here** Sorry!!
The Away goals rule only counts after extra time by the way, so if City are winning 2-1 at 90mins it will go to extra time. If it is still 2-1 AET then City win.

I would say that the outcome of this match hangs on whether or not Jay Spearing plays, will make a prediction once the team sheets are announced.
