Sounds like Jelavic is keen....

....“West Ham are a great club; they are not a second division club.

They are a famous Premier League club who happened to be relegated last season and will return to the Premier League next season.

It would be nice to play there if the opportunity comes up and the club agrees." he is quoted as saying.

I think your right and he will be sold, the quote sounds like he is very keen on West Ham. I would guess Rangers will wait to see if any greater offers come in. It could be a last second deal.

We know about the interest of West Ham and QPR," Jelavic senior said in The Sun.

"But Nikica has five or six clubs that are interested, including that of the great Liverpool.

"As for West Ham and QPR, Nikica is more ambitious than that.

"It's most likely that he'll sign for Liverpool.

I know Jelavic is not keen on moving to west ham at all, which makes his comments seem strange, maybe he's been told he's going there and thats that

Depends on what he is being offered, he would get more starts at West Ham, maybe goal bonuses and appearence fees?

Is he the sort of player who would prefer to start more games then not and be the big name?

i think he is happy enough to be the main man for rangers and score goals for the rest of the season, that guarantees his place in the croatia squad in the summer

last year newcastle were linked with him but he said he wouldn't leave rangers for a team like newcastle

Leicster bid 6.5 million in august but he said he wouldn't go the the championship

his comments today are very strange considering what he has been saying in the past so that leads me to believe something fishy is going on and he's been told he's leaving

who knows where he will go though, germany seems to be the choice if you are a croatian striker Olic,Petric,Mandzukic all play in the bundesliga

i could see him at Hamburg,Stuttgart somebody like that or one of the big turkish cubs who were interested last summer aswell

7 million pounds bid rejected today apparently,

He scored 30 SPL goals but how many were penalties???

Rangers could not imo wait. No one has shown real interest in Jelavic and no real offer has come in. If they are offered £6-7m rangers will grab it, to give it to HMRC and reduce the tax liability to £48m or so.

Forever and Ever can't read. £7 Million was rejected today. Tax liability? I thought that hasn't been decided yet. Ah, the Dhims and their incorrect predictions year on year.

8-10m for a player who has scored 2 in 16 games for his country, get out of it..

Spot on M8.
He comes on as a sub. If WHU wait a few days they will be able to offer £4-5m and it will be accepted. As to Liverpool etc being interested...............if they were he would be gone.

No bidding war here I suspect.

Wait a few days Harry and then bid less than the £7m and it will be accepted, cos apart from being desperate for cash to pay the massive HMRC bill, they will have a very very unhappy player on their hands.

One last reason...............he is SPL class, thats all.
