Which club is run on a proper

financial footing, Spurs or Chelsea?

Spurs having prudently built a team to challenge for the Top Four, Chelsea just throwing money at the project, £100 million here, £100 million there.

The question being is Abramovich likely to throw even more bad money at the team like last January, when he was done over like a kipper when buying super flops Torres and Luiz for the best part of £75 million, or will he finally come to his senses and realise that you can actually have a decent team and a top four position, like Spurs, even without the trough of the CL.

Tottenham Hotspur football club is how all clubs in the premiership should be run, not spending beyond their means, but kudos must go to the very shrewd Daniel Levy and his excellent board.

A chairman whom even Abramovich could not buy off.

4th is still possible seeing as Spurs are likely to be managerless very shortly.
When found guilty, prison or no prison, 'Arry will be sacked by Spurs and banned from all football management for at least a year. Thats what happed to George Graham(another of your managers) when he accepted a bung.

I see no way he's gonna walk from this frankly

Wonder if Spu-ds have sounded out a new man yet - bet they have
Hope it's not Jose

The religious freak Glenda Hoddle is likely to be appointed, however he hasn't managed since...I've lost count.

It was his actions at Arsenal that got him banned for a year. It was nothing to do with Spurs. Spurs sacked Graham because the fans didn't like him...because he's pure Arsenal and Spurs hate anything Arsenal. They didn't like Terry Neill either.
I don't think they ever forgave Pat Jennings for joining Arsenal either. They definitely haven't forgiven Sol Campbell. Sol Campbell did what Michael Owen did. Michael Owen like Sol Campbell came out of an academy and joined the one club that his first club hates most. Owen did that when he came out of Liverpools academy and joined Manchester United. If Owen had joined Everton, there would be no animosity. In the same way had Campbell joined Aston Villa, then there would be no animosity.

From 'arry's & Spurs perspective - I guess it'll come down to whether he is a fit & proper person to manage their club,

he will certainly be fined if guilty, I doubt anything custodial will feature

As for the England job...who knows... the authorities in that department have a long & woeful track record of employing wrong-uns for that task anyway (for all sorts of reasons)

Don't be so sure about 'Arry not getting anything custodial. Normally anyone found guilty of tax evasion gets a prison sentence. Lester Piggot got 3 years.
