Teenage midfielder Lee Lucas has joined League Two side Burton Albion on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old Aberdare product joined the Swans at the age of nine and has a professional contract keeping him at the Liberty Stadium until 2013.
He has also established himself as a regular in the Wales Under-21 squad, winning nine caps and scoring once.
"I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to play some games and gain some more experience," said Lucas.

Have had a look on the Swans fans site and the supporters speak very highly of him, sounds good on paper. I think the boy will learn plenty while he's with us and hope he enjoys his football. I wish him well.
Who do you think is going to make way in the midfield for him ?

He doesn't play any other position other than Centre Midfield so the prediction is we will see a rotation of Macca & Bolder alongside him as he is a skill full creative type with a good first touch, something we have been severely lacking!

It will probably be mostly Macca as one more booking will see Bolder suspended !

I hope this boy will play more attacking football from the Midfield instead of the ball being played from one side to the other side and back again with no attack on goal.
I hope he gets a game on Sunday and gets a chance to show us what he is made of. Good luck and welcome Burton.

Great to see that we have another Midfield player that gives us more options but what about Dyer he is a young lad he must now be thinking he has no chance of a game.

I couldn't agree more, personally i feel a run of games would have and would still do him good,he could hardly be worse than the sidepass duo !

Again chaps we are going into the unknown, yes these young lads have got to be given a chance to show what they can do.But it seems to me we always want something on the cheap and they are never going to be our player. The loan system is good when you have got players injured but for me you cant beat having a squad that are all your players and pulling together as a unit.I wish the lad all the best and hope he enjoys his whistle stop stay with us but im looking for more quality players who are proven at this level,so its chequebook time soon and im not sure that will happen.

It's the way football has gone in recent years isn't it Emnez - the loan thing. Every League 2 club has a few. It is when you have Premier League clubs loaning to Premier League clubs that you know that things are a bit out of hand.
Personally speaking I like the idea of young kids getting a chance at a lower level. It is a win-win situation for everyone.
With regards this chap, he of course has been training with Leon Britton - the man with the famous better passing statistics than Xavi of Barcelona.
A lot is said of the sideways passing of the current midfielders. I hope the new chap brings something to the defensive midfield side as the defence seems to be pilloried for the failings of others in the midfield department.

At least he will learn one new tactic to take back to Swansea Hoof ball !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats what players of limited ability have to resort to when faced with more skilled opponents !!!!!!! All tongue in cheek stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!
