Carson Yeung summoned for default on HK pad

I dont get the panic, it seems carson is up to his neck in it but
*players paid and not once this season have payments been missed
*ticket prices are still cheaper than under DG & DS
*bids for players rejected
*no mention of "cash strapped" birmingham when mentioned etc
*Admin word not mentioned at all by any one when it comes to blues
*atleast its not as bad as portsmouth
I wish people wouldnt speculate, CY seems to want success, loaning money he didnt have to buy blues new players! at least if he had money he would spend it!
Its all speculation until the day we find out and im sure one day we will.
The FA should bring a rule out where all take and expenditure needs to be made public for every club, no more "disclosed fee" we deserve to know how much we made and spent in a season and then where the spare change has gone!

Well said Mackem

Sometimes its the other side though, it could for instance be the buying club that does not want to disclose the fee.
This seemed to be the case with WBA bids for Ridgewell.
Your right to keep positive, as you have said players have been paid, we rejected bids for Ridgewell.
So we must some how be chugging along, its just we should know how?
How are we managing to get by when Yeung is under house arrest (cant leave HK) and had is assets frozen, and our club has its frozen from its parent company BIH.
I think the thing many are upset with is we are always in the Dark.
Yeung apparently still wants controll he still wants to own the club, maybe this means either.
1) The guy cares about what he wants and what he will lose and not the club, or whats in best interest.
2) The guy is either inocent or truely beleaves that he has not done nothing wrong and hopes court will clear his name.
I do think Yeung would have been a good owner, but only one problem... i dont think the guy has the cash, i think he took a gamble with loans with a idea, based on Chinese Market and hopping to get others to jump on the bandwagon and invest...
Pretty much simular to Sully and Gold at West Ham they brought 40% took a gamble due to the debts because they felt they would get the Olympic Stadium and thus potential gates of 50-60'000, and then hopefully other investors will jump on the band wagon.
Yeungs plan had a lot more potential (Chinese Market) but then no garuntees (West Ham have a lot of fans and would imagine they could get 40-50'000 gates).
Sadly Yeung just never had the cash and other investors/share holders either dont have cash or do not wish to invest.
And for all we know most of the other share holders could all be linked back to Yeung and thus he owns more than 25-29% or what ever it is.... just thats the amount listed in his name.

Maybe I am a doom merchant when it comes to Carson and his cronies but I cannot get behind them. They have brought the club to its knee's.
Mackem, yes the players and staff have been paid every month this season but that is because we have sold numerous players to help pay the wages, we have also made numerous staff behind the scene's redundant. This has lead to us having a paper-thin squad (which CH is doing a great job with) and a paper-thin workforce (which is why it is always a nightmare to get tickets for big away games).
I would also like to check the facts on tickets being cheaper under Carson as well, the last time we were in the championship, the board (Sullivan &Gold) froze the prices at the last season premiership prices which for my season ticket was £400, they then gave me a 10% discount when we got promoted which work out that I paid £360 in the premiership. The next year under Carson my price went up to £380 and now back in the championship it is back up to £400. Now to me that is the same price, not cheaper?
They have rejected the bid for Ridgewell but for how long? No word from the board saying he is not for sale, only that the bid was not high enough. My guess is come Wednesday morning he will no longer be win us. I just hope Ridewell and JB are the only two to go and the rumour of Newcastle making a move for Davies are not true.
There was no mention of cash strapped Birmingham and we are not in administration which is good news but I fear if we don't get promoted and when everybody that can be sold has been sold we will then move towards the darkiside of Administration.
As for Pompey, I feel sorry for their fans but in all honesty couldn't care less, I care about BCFC and what happens to us and the mess we are in.
As I said I may be the merchant of Venice here and I could be totally wrong but I have a different view on what is happening at our club than you do and just wanted to give my opinion on the points you raised.

Chris Hughton has said he needs players he will get players be it loans or free's, i said on an earlier thread i think carson has no money but we dont seem in any danger of going bust.
Norwich, southampton, sheff utd, hull, burnley and many more all clubs who shipped out loads of players and replaced them with free's, loans etc under DG and DS they had money to spend and could always cover us if we fell into crisis, they bought players like they are at west ham, thats what were used to.
This is a change to the system having to do what every other relegated club does and budget not go and buy cameron jerome, gary mcsheffrey and jaidi, n'gotty etc
Staff have been laid off but what business in the current climate are staff not been made redunant, lets not forget the backroom staff that CH has brought in paul trollope, and colin calderwood both ex managers so wont be on pennys like other coaches and we have kept onto our keeper coach.
On the tickets your probably right but in the fourfourtwo list last season we still had the 18th cheapest season tickets of all 92 club league clubs, due to my location i only buy single tickets not season tickets, and they have been much cheaper than 30-45 quid under DS, europa league tickets the club could have sold tickets £50 a pop and still sold out the ground but they didnt they kept them at £10.
Dont get me wrong im not an idiot, something is not right at blues and we will all one day hopefully find out, im just trying to point out that people are over reacting to every little thing that happens and its not as bad as it looks if you stop to think about it!

For me Sullivan & Gold were not as bad as many people make out. With regards to ticket prices, they did put their prices up when we got promoted like most teams do. However we were the first team to do kids for a quid, our cup games were always reasonable priced and I think even they know that in the current climate if they had been here they could not have charged £50 for the Europa games.
I am not stupid either and realise that we did need to move some players out in order for us to be more competitive in this league. We should not have sold all of them though and should have kept hold of some of our better players and I think now we would be a lot further up the table.
As for Southampton, they spent £3 million on Lambert and have offered £5 million for hopper, so I would not say they have done it with loans and free's. As for the others that you mention in our division then yes they have had to sell like us but they have also been back in this division for a couple of seasons now and still don't look like getting out of this division, is that really what we want to become? Another Burnley, Sheff U or Hull.
I also agree that we have had to scale back the staff. It happened under the previous owners when we got relegated under Bruce and Mcleish.

I think Yeung had good intentions, i think he had ambitions, the other side of the coin is others think all along the only reason he brought us was to launder money.
I think he simply did not know what he was getting into and maybe he had some people who said./or who he assumed would help him with the club.
I dont blame Yeung for us being where we are the Ginger Num.pty got us relegated.... but now we are relegated and in debts and with whats happened with Yeung, surely he should know that he is out of his debth and he should be looking to sell up to somone who can do the right thing for the club. But he is not.
As for Ridgewell well WBA are close to a deal, we want £2M they want to pay £1M but must have come some where in the middle which has been rejected.
As soon as we get £2M offered he would be gone.

Southampton only started bidding for players after relegation to league one when they go the new owners in and hired pardew and lambert cost a fee rising to 1m depending on promotion etc, when they went down there was a total change of staff and then they went down again and sorted themselves out a bit like norwich.
Im not saying i want to become another one of those clubs but thats the realistic view its rare a team bounces straight back and thats because not every team has a DG or DS to fund there way to promotion.
The so called better players you mentioned are all in relegation battles now with the exception of larsson who was a free and gardner who made it clear he wanted to leave and jerome that not many wanted at the club any way. They are the players who took us down as well as the old manager nothing to do with the current board blues getting relegated.
Mcleish got all the players he wanted and they didnt perform so now the board have to make cuts and are getting all the stick.
Im far from fully behind carson yeung, ive always said id have rather stuck with the davids but its happened and until i see evidence of blues going bust then im not going to go over the top speculating about how bad our finances are

Firstly, I remember when CY took over and Tom Ross done a phone in with one of his people and I was genuinly impressed with what I heard. The way they wanted to promote the club in China really did make sense. Lets be fair, if 1 in every 1000 Chineese people had bought a shirt, how much revenue would that of generated? Also the supporters who called in were all positive about his ownership. Maybe some of you on here remember this?
CY used to fly back and forth to Brum for home games. That's more than I would do and I love the club!
I never did believe there was £40m to spend, and anyone who did is very naive.
If Ridgewell goes, I won't loose no sleep. I only want players who are 100% comitted playing for the club.
DS & DG done a good job for our club. Lets face it, we used to be a corrigated shed on a hill with wee running down the terraces (the good old days). Now look at the ground! When it lookked like Wet Spam were up for grabs though, they wanted out, and the crowd gave them a good enough reason.
Just be positive, and CH and the boys will do the job this season.
