Whilst surveying the new Spurs website and becoming very quickly irritated about how it has become everything I didn't want it to be, I thought I would check out Man City's just for comparison because from a marketing perspective, it's brilliant and I don't have any qualms about saying so. I work in marketing and it's very clear to see why this is successful.
One of the most popular features on the site is the Tunnel Vision video diary, a 10-15 minute highlight package of what was happening in the tunnel before, during and after the match. It's a fascinating insight no matter who you support and particularly this edition as it features Spurs.

Interesting to see how Benoit Assou-Ekotto arrives late to queue and did anyone else notice the expletives of Gareth Bale at the end?
It's a pretty original feature City have here, at least in English football as far as I know, I can only imagine how great the reaction would have been had Defoe of found the net.
Meanwhile, what does everyone think of the new Spurs website?
Disappointing in my opinion.

I said in another tread, as far as I can tell its the same old site with just a new coat of paint, nothing has actually changed. It looks slightly better, but then a new lick of paint makes a room look brighter, still a room without a window and damp in the corners where slugs sometimes creep in from.

That Tunnel Vision camera is a class idea. Didn't know they did it until I saw the one when we played them at Eastlands. It's a really good idea, wish we had it at the Emirates.

Yeah our site wasn't what I was expecting, very disappointed! I just watched the tunnel view from our game versus city, and I gotta say I love it!!!
Yeah Gareth was upset at the end, do you think he was swearing because we lost, or because he just had to interact with Balotelli?

I work in Web Design/UX and I gotta say I'm really disappointed with the new site. To say they've just given it a lick of paint is an understatement. I've found they've removed a lot of historical pages about players, managers and games. Haven't logged in yet to see if that is any better but this could be so much more. The Man City site is far superior in both content and design.
They should have hired this guy
