there has been so many positives as an Australian whilst watching this series.
including watching the fab for in action, although not in form.
not on the negatives running with the the good ( beers, victory, expsloive cricket. NO DRAWS, great bowling. batting records and lotsa laughs.
hope all have enjoyed this summers viewing as much as i have.
finishing with the 4th day text from cricinfo....
"With Australia four wickets away from a 4-0 hammering of India, Cricket Australia have annouced that there will be free entry to Adelaide Oval tomorrow. Woeful from India, they have run out of their last excuse, this wasn't a green wicket, this was not a pitch helpful for the home fast bowlers, this was a flat batting wicket. Twice they have imploded against persistent high-quality bowling. They have nowhere to hide, however great their middle order may be. You can point to history, to their past records, to their earlier deeds overseas, but losing eight consecutive overseas Test is a massive, massive indictment."
cheers big ears
end of an era, or the start....

Rankings don't win you matches but I did hear the other day that if Australia were to win this current series 4-0 then it would move them into 3rd place in the rankings behind Sth.Africa.....did I hear correct, can someone confirm this please as I'm not privy as to how the ranking system works other then winning keeps you there....

The Aussies better enjoy this success whilst it lasts. Let's hope they've climbed to two in the rankings as this will give England extra credit when they beat them in next years ashes.

hopeforthebest.......you are either very confused or worried about the ashes going back to the sun-burnt country....is it because it took you 25 years the last time to get your hot little hands on it or what..???
I'm not getting to carried away with this series win against India but it does do the players good to have a winning culture and self belief, if anything after this series victory you yourself must be very concerned because your comment some months ago were holding Australia in good sted even before this white wash......
Your comment......

I believe the answer is yes!
Victories in SL, SA and beating India at home are well within their grasp. A resurgent Australia is exactly what test cricket needs at the moment.
Cheers and thanks for the glowing report....regardless of the rankings the ashes is always a good series. Even when England were at their lowest during that 25 year period the ashes are still the ashes...

hopefor, we both know that the Australians are struggling and as of now they are not in our league. We will stuff them in the ashes and that will be three in a row and four of the last five. It's our time mate and they certainly cant stop us. Crikey to people really have that short a memory that they can't remember what we did to them down under?
